I would have expected some welcome book to let you know but that wasn't the case. However after those few hiccups on day one the actual cabin was nice and the view to the river out front was beautiful. We had a great stay and enjoyed our time. There were four adults and three small dogs. The cabin living area is small as is the kitchen but the two bedrooms and bathrooms are a good size. The second bedroom is over the garage and the door to go up is on the screened in porch connected to the garage which is different but it works. The second bedroom is basically an efficiency unit with its own couch, table, and kitchenette. The cabin overall is clean and pest free but definitely dated and could use some sprucing up. The kitchen stove is tiny but works. The oven knob is missing so it’s a guess as to what temp it’s set on. The kitchen is stocked for some basic cooking needs. The washer is missing the knob as well so that was a challenge. It’s a great location in front of the river with a screened in porch to listen and enjoy the water. The rental service was helpful. Aug 16, 2025 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy Property could use some TLC porch Screens had holes in them and was full of cobwebs and spiders had to clean and spray for bugs could not use chairs until I cleaned them handles on pans loose I tightened most of them up and carpet in king room smells like pet urine with a lot of stains had to spray carpet deodorizer property management was notified. It's a great location lots of room view is awesome fishing was ok we had a good time enjoyed the morning coffee and afternoons on the porch nice and relaxing and quiet. It's right next to the river. The dam is a short walk up the dirt road. People tubing and kayaking down from the dam. Perfect for fishing and pets too. We even saw two beautiful breathe taking Elk. The owners have clearly set this place up with dogs in mind! This is a very safe place to bring your pups for a vacation. The close proximity to the river is fantastic as well.
