In addition to being on the River, we are now directly connected to the paved, multi-city, Vilas County Bike Trail System, as well as being connected to 130 miles of well-groomed snowmobile trails, on trail #15. The kitchen has every conceivable thing you could need for cooking. The cabin is much bigger than the picture show. The river is amazing and there are so many boat options right on the property. The property was absolutely beautiful, just off of a small stream with a pier, the kids took kayaks down to a joining lakes. We saw deer daily including an albino. We enjoyef bonfires outside several nights. The home was very cozy and spacious, plenty of room for the 5 of us. We had everything we needed and then some. Fran was wonderful, very welcoming and accommodating. Beautiful gardens surrounding the house, and within walking distance of the downtown, the Ice Shanty and just down the road from Gooch's - one of our favorite restaurants. Lots of thoughtful little touches such as multiple room humidifiers for our winter stay, little LED flashlights in almost every room (not that we needed them) and a kitchen that was extremely well outfitted with high quality appliances and cookware. Notes and instructions made using the place a breeze. The house was very clean. It is obvious she takes great pride in the property.
