This could be the perfect location for you, but I has a couple of issues that may not affect you. 1) The ceiling in the shower room is too low for very tall people to stand up straight. There’s nothing that can be done about this, it’s an old cottage with a pitched roof, it’s just a quirk of the building. For a few days it’s not a big deal, but it’s worth being aware of if you are tall. 2) Its got an electric hob, which I found really hard to cook on - but again this may be a safety thing rather than having gas, but you sacrifice a bit of control, so I keep boiling things over then having to stand holding a pan while the hob cooled down. Again, this may not be a problem for many people, but if you’re planning complicated meals it is lacking a bit in that regard. Basically if you’re a 6’4” chef you might struggle. All that said - had an excellent time, it’s comfortable, warm, nice little garden, lovely area, friendly hosts, plenty of space, and a really good base for exploring the area.
