"Beyond words beautiful!! The setting is breathtaking and the cabin is perfect, just the right size and equipped with everything you need. The owner, Jim, was also incredibly kind and helpful….impeccable customer service and focus that you don’t tend to get anymore these days. They also have two beautiful wooden chairs by the river out the back door, which is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee and absorbing this small piece of Heaven! 10/10, BOOK IT, you will not be disappointed!!! "We loved this place! Even better in person than online. Very well equipped, comfortable bed, cute little deck in the back with Adirondack chairs—great place to have your coffee and watch a deer skip by. Warning—WiFi signal is really bad, so plan on unplugging during your stay. It was not a problem for us, but could be for others. Other minor issue was that we arrived at 8pm and hadn’t had dinner. There is a super cute pizza joint (Jack’s Hut) on the Freestone property, but it is only open 8-5pm. Wish it was open for dinner! Other than that, stay was perfect and peaceful and gorgeous! (Also, lovely 2-mile trail walk from freestone to the awesome Mazama store)."

"This was a lovely place to stay for an extra long Memorial weekend trip! The property is close to all the fun things in Mazama - hiking, biking, climbing, the Mazama Store/Brewery, and was a beautiful location to hang out at as well! The small, attached studio was perfect for my partner and I. Dawn was quick to respond to my questions and very helpful as well. I would absolutely try to stay here again! "

"Our family of six including parents in their 80s had a magical time at the Happy Trails cabin. The log construction is beautiful and reinforces the cozy, warm feeling of the home. We've been staying in the Mazama area for the last 30 years and love being near the Country Store and all the Mazama area has to offer. The OSH pub is a welcomed addition to this special part of the valley. The star-gazing is second to none and the peacefulness is so welcomed. The sauna is a lovely treat as is access to the hot tub at the Mazama Country Inn. The cabin is well appointed with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spacious den area off of the master bedroom upstairs. The heated concrete floors warm the home nicely and are easy with dogs. Tons of games and fun extras like a swing outside, hammock and even climbing holds for those looking to work on grip strength or just have some fun. Lots of family gathering spaces provide plenty of space for conversation, relaxing together and family time.The ski trails near the cabin are easily accessed right across the street and offer miles of solitude and exploration. Conversely, said trails offer lots of mountain biking options in the summer and easy river access directly from the property. Needless to say, we loved our stay and appreciate the owners sharing their sweet space."
