"This was one of our best small hotel stays. The room and separate bathroom were excellent, the owners were lovely and the chef-cooked breakfast was top notch. Located in a quiet village and close to the sea, Difficult to know how it could be bettered."

"All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We ate at the pub and the food was good sized portions and of a good quality. The breakfast was particularly good!
The room was quirky and of a good size.
Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the Hoops Inn."

"Have known this hotel for a number of years and it was one of the best in the area but now needing a facelift without spoiling its design. Lift inside needs upgrading, fixtures and fittings need upgrading. STAFF were lovely especially Carol in the lounge area, very kind and helpful. Pool and garden area lovely. Parking good but limited spaces. Receptionists friendly and helpful. Hotel is well situated for Bideford T

"Stunning location, really friendly staff. Room was cozy but expected given the age and style of the property. Food was really good and reasonably priced. Would definitely stay again."

"Arrived late at our stay and then realised that we had in fact booked for the weekend after! Disaster after a 6 hour drive and very little options. We apologised and explained the error to our host. Amazingly and also luckily the host immediately went to work setting up an alternative glamping pod for us to stay in. The place was immaculate, hosts are extremely friendly and everything about the trip was perfect and as described. We will certainly be returning."

"A truly excellent and charming location. A charming, independent garden outside with a fire pit, table, and chairs. The interior is even more magnificent, well-maintained, and above all, equipped with everything you need... meticulously crafted. The table that converts to a bed was a simple but brilliant idea, the bathroom is enormous for a cabin, and the stove is truly wonderful. The only downside is the very narrow road leading to it; unfortunately, there's not much you can do about it... but...

"Lovely Chalet, everything you would need for a comfortable couple or family break, great location and fantastic view. Felicity was great with the communication, info, and checking into the Chalet was no issue. This is a brilliant place to stay with the park amenities on the doorstep and to explore the North Devon coast "
"Our family room was in a building separate to the pub - 2 minute walk, with a great view. The room was really large, stylishly decorated with loads of great unexpected extras - kids toys, colouring sets & cards and a pay for mini bar with drinks & snacks. As we brought our dog they provided a dog bowl, dog bed and snack pack! We thought it was fabulous value for money, especially the breakfast. Our only feedback was the pillows were pretty hard. We would definitely look at Youngs for our next accommodation."
Lovely 5 Bedroom Period House moments from Beach and the Burrows
10/10 Excellent
"First Sam and Mark were excellent hosts, they responded immediately to each request, for which we are very grateful. The property itself was amazing, it comfortably accommodated our 12 person tribe. Five large bedrooms, three bathrooms with showers, we’ve one including a big bath. The Kitchen included a big stove and an amazing US style fridge freezer, with an ice dispenser. The equipment in the kitchen was comprehensive, with every pot and pan, crockery, cutlery, and utensil you might need. The garden was large, with the shed housing all you might require for the beach. Parking was ample, with 2 dedicated spaces. The property’s location was perfect for the beach, which was only a 10 minute walk. Recommendations, coaststeering at Croyde, The Big Sheep, Chinese from the HK Diner and Sunday Lunch at the Country Cousins. Also, when at the beach coffees from Cabana, very good!"
"Excellent homecooked breakfast with lots of choice.
Easy off road parking.
Spacious, quiet airy rooms.
Very friendly and helpful hosts.
10 minute walk to the beach and restaurants/pubs."
"Loved everything about the property. Loved all the walks from the property. The walk to the waterfall was amazing. We are vegetarian and we had a number of choices to choose from. The room was outstanding. Breakfast was outstanding. Every last thing was a 10 out of 10. We had no clue what we were getting into when we came. Everything blew us away. Wish we could have stayed longer than the one night. Seeing I am an American the drive to the property was out of this world. Don’t know how I made it without a scratch on the car."
