    The Space:

    Located on the ocean side of Coastal Highway in Bethany Beach, DE, this 10th floor condo in Edgewater House offers generous, unobstructed views of the beach and ocean, and easy access to the guarded beach of Sea Colony. The living room, with direct view of the ocean, has a comfortable sofa and a loveseat, recliner, side table, coffee table, a TV, a DVD player, and books and games available for guest use.



    The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, a walk-in closet, a TV, and an ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom has a double bed with trundle, a single bed, and new TV. The third bedroom has been renovated with a new queen bed and furnishings. The kitchen was recently renovated, opening to the dining area and family room, and offering a view of the ocean. Recent 2026 updates include the addition of forced air ventilation in the queen bedroom for enhanced comfort, along with replacement of all east-facing window blinds. Blackout shades have also been installed in both the primary and queen bedrooms to improve privacy and sleep quality.



    Kitchen appliances are new to the renovation, and countertop appliances are all new to summer 2025. There is a clothes washer (new) and dryer in the condo. Also new in 2025 is comfortable polywood seating on the balcony (2 pub chairs with table, 2 adirondack chairs with table, and a chaise lounge chair). All TVs have basic cable, hookups for equipment you may bring, and ability to access streaming programming. High speed WiFi is accessible through the condo.



    In addition to a guarded beach, Sea Colony offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts and pickleball courts, as well as numerous other family-friendly activities. Edgewater House is the main building of Sea Colony East and has an indoor pool, jacuzzi tub and small gym in the lower lobby, and a beautiful deck and outdoor pool on the ocean side of the main lobby. There is a small store on the ground level of Edgewater House, and the tram that provides transportation to West side Sea Colony attractions picks up here. The Bethany Beach boardwalk and downtown, with numerous restaurants and shops, is a short walk on the beach or by paved street. Also convenient are shops and eateries right across the street, and tennis/pickleball courts a few buildings away.

This condo was great! The views were amazing and the condo provided plenty of amenities. The kitchen was well equipped, the bedrooms were spacious and had so much storage! There was a place for everyone and everything. Would definitely return to this unit in the future!

Sea Colony getaway

Great view, nice kitchen/family room area, including kitchen pantry and bar area. Lots of extra storage. Convenient to many shops and restaurants.

Nice week away

Very nice property on the beach. Unit was very clean except for the floor being a little more “sandy” than anticipated. We had 8 people staying and had plenty of room. Would recommend this place to others. Our family had a fun week!

Nice House

The house was very nice overall. The one bedroom has no air conditioning and was very hot, and we ran out of hot water regularly. Other than than the layout and amenities are very nice. Sea colony overall has a nice design and a lot to do.

Birthday get away!

We had an excellent time at Sea Colony Edgewater. Th lace we stayed at was absolutely beautiful with a huge balcony and an amazing view of the ocean. Everything was clean and had just about anything you could ask for. The building was easy to get in and out of an beach access was fairly simple, some construction going on with the outside pool that closed off our direct access but was no big deal and will be done by summer. The only complaint was that the spare room mattress’s were on their last leg. Looking forward to making this an annual thing.

Family with Young kids

Pros: lots of beds, well stocked and good sized kitchen with great appliances, nice bathrooms. Cons: bar area and lack of hanging and shoe storage was not great for our young kid family returning from beach. Sand and debris was under some furniture upon our arrival. 3rd ‘Den’ with bed was very hot needs a better working fan as no vent in that room. A/c control unit was locked so could not be adjusted. Older patio furniture.

Great location for beach lovers

The location of the condo in front of the beach attracted us to select it. The weather was excellent (upper 60s-low 80s) during the week we stayed and helped to make our stay feel even better. The unit offered fantastic views of the beach. In the early mornings the light came in through the large window and sliding doors facing the beach. One of the vertical blinds did not close completely and the all blinds are not the darkening type. We spend evenings sitting in the balcony watching the beach. The kitchen is open concept with an island that gives a good flow. The Two TVs connected to xfinity worked well, the AC uses a goggle system that took us a bit of time to figure it out. The bedrooms are ample. The master bedroom has plenty of storage space with a walk in closet. The second room has two beds and a trundle. They have a plastic mattress pad that makes noise, though, when we me moves on the bed. The third bedroom did not have a register for AC or vent and was stuffy even with the ceiling fan. The bathrooms were comfortable. The separate laundry room made washing beach towels and clothes convenient without having to go through the kitchen. We found the apartment clean and tidy when we came in. The missed items were refrigerator that needed a better cleaning, and the floor had sand. But overall it is great and we would rent this apartment that again. Congrats to the owners for the updates made.
