🏡 The Dimora del Riccio Area: Art, Nature, and Amenities Right at Your Fingertips

The Dimora del Riccio is located in a quiet area, surrounded by nature and full of amenities, about 3.5 km from downtown Bergamo and the train station.

We’re 700 metres from Porta San Lorenzo (formerly Porta Garibaldi), one of the ancient gateways to the Venetian Walls, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. From there, a 10-minute walk (800 metres) will take you to the magnificent Piazza Vecchia, the heart of the Upper Town, where architectural and historical wonders await you, such as:

• The Cathedral,

• The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore,

• The Colleoni Chapel,

• The Baptistery,

• The Civic Tower (Campanone).

Just a short walk away, you can also visit the Rocca, with its military artifacts and a splendid panoramic viewpoint.

🚡 The area is served by two funiculars:

• one will take you to San Vigilio Castle, with a breathtaking view of the city and the hills,

• the other will bring you back to the heart of downtown in just a few minutes.

La Dimora del Riccio is part of the SACC Trail (the “Rospi”), a loop trail blending art and nature, ideal for those who love to walk and discover authentic, peaceful places.
