It is a budget hotel, but all of the amenities were clean and sound, including the bed, shower and bathroom facilities, and HVAC unit. Facility needs upgrades, beds are hard and uncomfortable. The staff was exceptional. This year our room was updated a bit and quite comfortable. Our check-in experience this year was not good . We arrived at about 10:15 PM and the door at the office was locked with a sign on the window,” back in 15 minutes” and another sign on the door that showed Will return at 9:45\. We waited at least 15 minutes and then called the handwritten phone number on the window note and it went straight to voicemail. Finally, my wife looked up a number on the website for copper stay and we were reached someone that said they would be right there and that they were just leaving now. This put us after 11 p.m. and there were no longer any opportunities for take out food at local restaurants as most closed at 11 PM. Clean room at a very reasonable rate. I experienced a problem with the reservation not being received by the hotel. Staff did not make me wait a second but gave me the room key, took my reservation information and said that they would contact Expedia and call me. 15 minutes later I received an email from Expedia and a call from the front desk that everything was taken care of. Great customer from both Expedia and the hotel staff. Nobody in the office at 3 pm when checking in. Had to call? Never happened at any hotel I ever stayed at. At 11 pm when we came back from visiting both keys that previously worked did not. Had to call again to have new keys allow us in. Not many people stayed there, counted 5 cars, yet had to drag all our luggage to the second floor. Seemed a lot of vacancy. Aside some those setbacks\` that were immediately taken care of, as stated, well kept property and rooms.
