Bengal Beach Tours and Activities

All staff were professional, courteous and friendly. They all went out of their way to grant your requests. The ambience is very nice. The electrical outlets on the patio didn't always work. Had to be creative in getting plugs to stay in. They also need to upgrade from 110v to 220v. Just kidding, but they should have something for travelers from Europe. Internet service was pretty good. Everyone in my group were pleased and would return. The tour setup for us by the manager was fun!!!! Good people, fantastic accommodations. Recommended...

Unfortunately, this stay fell short of what we expected, especially when it came to cleanliness and service. From the beginning, there were several issues. The bathtub and sink were not properly cleaned, which immediately affected our impression of the room. I had also called ahead and asked whether the room could be decorated for our arrival. I was told they could provide complimentary decorations, but nothing was done. Service throughout the stay was extremely slow. We requested towels and sheets, waited about an hour, and eventually left the room. When we returned, someone had entered the suite while we were gone and left only the sheets, with no towels. When we requested towels again, it took approximately three hours for them to arrive. We also called room service and it never came at all. That was probably the most frustrating part. When you’re staying at a resort and paying for these services and amenities, you shouldn’t have to repeatedly call or wait hours for basic requests. Another inconvenience was the strict dress requirements for several of the restaurants. At a Jamaican resort where guests are spending much of their day around the beach and pool, requiring guests to be fully dressed for multiple restaurants felt unnecessarily restrictive and made dining less convenient. There were aspects of the property we enjoyed, which is why I wouldn’t rate the experience a complete failure, but there were simply too many service and cleanliness issues.
