### Maya Cave House. Overnite in a cave in Belize, with howler monkeys as neighbours

Tucked away in natural forest, is an exquisite hideaway built halfway up a limestone cliff over the entrance to a Maya cave. Easily accessible on the Hummingbird hiway by bus or car, just 7 miles outside of Belmopan is a very unique place, the only cave house in Belize. Self catering, or good take out Belizean food in Armenia village nearby, or order food from our gourmet chef Marleni. The Blue hole, stHerman's Cave for cave tubing, or zip lining at Ayala's, are all within 5 minutes' drive from here.  
Safe hiking and biking is possible in the beautiful hills. Or, just take a nap in a hammock at the base of the cliff.  
Day trips to Xunantunich, to Hopkins beach or an excursion to the barrier reef is an easy 90 minutes by bus away.  
A generator for electric lighting, running water, flushing toilets...and laundry facilities and freezer space at the nearby farm house.  
Vergenoeg sells fresh meat, milk and vegetables from the picturesque Old Order Mennonite community nearby.  
We can connect our adventurous guests with registered, experienced tour operators and guides.  
When last did you sleep in a cave or have watched howler monkeys bed down in a huge old sycamore tree
