  • Ideally situated in a central location and close to the Devon and Cornwall border you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to days out. Head towards the coast and visit the sandy beaches at Bude, popular with surfers or those just keen to relax on the sand. Walkers and outdoors enthusiasts will also be in their element with Roadford Lake, offering fishing, walking and sailing activities, just a short drive away, the wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park just also short drive, and only slightly further Bodmin. Other attractions and places of interest accessible from here include Launceston Steam Railway, the historic maritime city of Plymouth, Tintagel Castle, and numerous National Trust properties, and the market towns of Holsworthy, Launceston and Okehampton.

    Heading up the steps and stepping inside this fabulous property you will immediately find yourself in the cosy yet surprisingly spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/sleeping area. This lovely light space boasts French doors leading to the outside, stunning countryside views and also a warming wood burner and sofa making it a perfect venue for relaxing whatever the weather. The impeccably designed, compact yet well-equipped kitchen area offers all the essentials including an electric two ring hob, microwave and a mini fridge with ice compartment. Another great feature of this property is the king-size bed which can be accessed on either side and includes useful built-in storage on either side. Completing the offering inside the property is the generously proportioned shower room with shower, WC and complimentary bath robes, which provides for a comfortable stay in this beautifully rustic environment.

    Located outside and directly to the front of the hut is a delightful lawn area with garden furniture, charcoal BBQ and fire pit. This area also boasts panoramic views over the lake to the fields beyond and provides a perfect place to dine alfresco in warm weather. Guests also benefit from access to a shared outside Cedar barrel shaped sauna room (small charge applies, direct with owner). Also there is the fabulous facility of a shared lakeside summer house with seating, TV, bar area with billiards table, large decked area with garden furniture and the option for a game of French Boule, Croquet or a 9 Hole Pitch and Putt.
