It’s in between Port Angeles and Forks, WA (closer to Forks) making it perfect to see the national park and explore the Olympic peninsula. The online photos do no justice in capturing its charm and peacefulness. It is fully equipped with all the comforts of home and the owners were very responsive to questions and recommendations. Totally private feel. The river sounds… sitting by the little fire… under the trees. Utilized the grill and ate all our meals on the porch. This was one of the absolute high points of our Washington trip. The cabin is so comfortable, well kept and well stocked. Comfortable beds. The pictures do not do this property Justice. The kitchen is very well stocked and the bedrooms and living spaces are comfortable. The house is oriented toward the river, which is more of a creek in the fall. Lovely spot, but just off of Hwy. 101 so when you are outside, or the windows are open, or in the hwy side bedroom, you can hear traffic noise which is unfortunate. Getting down to the river is doable, but a bit tricky. That said, it's a great location for day trips around the area. We come up via Quinault, went to the ocean beaches one day, to Sol Duc Falls and the hotsprings the next, and then home via Port Angeles with a stop at the Salt Creek Recreation Area where we walked the beautiful Bluff Trail.
