Private vacation home with a beautiful view of Lake Skinner. Waterfront access for fishing or taking the paddle boat out (seasonal).
This cottage has all the basic amenities to make your stay comfortable. From the warm fire place to the spacious deck and 3 seasons room, you can enjoy this place anytime of the year. The full kitchen makes this place perfect for a week long getaway!
A short twenty minute drive to Auburn and under an hour drive to Fort Wayne and Shipshewana.

The side table on the far side in the queen room was real dirty. The black ants (as big as chickens) in the house were annoying. Otherwise, things were great. It didn’t hurt me at all to wipe the side table. Our girls weekend was wonderful. We even got to see the pair of swans swim by.

Wonderful weekend, clean and comfortable home on a beautiful lake. Kitchen stocked with pans and appliances so it was easy to cook and we enjoyed our meals on the deck. Quiet neighborhood and can't say enough praise of the lakeview. Nice grass area that was stocked with firewood. Host has thought of everything, even chargers in main bedroom for phones. Roku, puttgolf game and fishing poles!!! 5 stars

We were extremely pleased with this gem! The place was clean, host was easy to contact, and we enjoyed the boat and firepit. The bed was comfortable and the host paid a lot of attention to details. Overall, an excellent experience that I would recommend to others.

Inside was very clean and the host provided earthing and anything we might need minus our food. We enjoyed the pier to fish which we were successful catching several. We were disappointed with state of the outdoor space. It definitely could use some housekeeping.

Beautiful, cozy cabin right on the lake. We enjoyed the paddleboat, charcoal grill and firepit! If you happen to forget anything there’s a Walmart not too far away. View is amazing and we loved having our morning coffee on the deck. Fireplace was nice too! Cabin is well equipped with everything you need and our host is so kind!

We stayed at the sweet lake cottage with our son and his fiance. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you would need to prepare a meal. The lakefront deck provided amazing views and was a perfect place to enjoy that first cup of coffee. ThePaddle boat and fishing poles provided lots of fun as did tbe lakefront firepit.

We had a great time. Enjoyed being on the lake, watching the turtles. Early morning paddle boat rides were beautiful. We saw a bald eagle, a doe and her fawn, geese, and ducks. The lake house is cozy. We slept great. Such an enjoyable time.

We love this lake cottage!

We just spent our 4th new year retreat at Skinner Lake cottage. It is so peaceful, comfortably furnished, close to great places to eat and shop. We bring all our books, make a meal or tea, and relax. Monday was sunny and we had our coffee and read out on the deck. We love this place!

Nice, Large Cabin Right on the Lake

This is a nice and spacious cabin, right on the lake. The cabin is well appointed and supplied, and clearly well cared for. The back deck would be very nice for the summertime (not so much for us in winter). I took one star off for location because the front of the cabin is right on the highway (set back a bit), with neighbors all around. However, sitting in the back you may not notice.

Tranquility at its Best

The host provided everything guests needed and more. The place was lovely and peaceful - just what we wanted. Beautiful lake view from the deck. Loved the fact that bottles of cold water were in the refrigerator for us when we arrived - much needed and so thoughtful. I use a walker and all rooms, porch and deck were accessible.
