"We loved this property in La-Roche-de-Ardennes and wish we booked another night. It is super cute and in a great location. The town is like a storybook and the restaurant The Remorinis is a must! This was our favorite restaurant out of our 4 country travels. We would love to return to La-Roche-de-Ardennes someday."

"This terraced house is in a lovely location beside the river close to the centre of La Roche. On arrival you can unload your car outside, without disrupting the traffic.Unfortunately car parking is a problem. There is NO dedicated car parking spot, so it is pot luck / free for all. The nearest 4 places are at 80m then 250m then further away or on the other side of the river. Free but not convenient.There is a gorgeous balcony outside the second floor bedroom, overlooking the river, bridge, park and cafe.Communication was a problem as vrbo could not seem to send the right info to get on to my Windows 11 laptop . . . .The beds are good and large, but one was broken and held up with stones underneath . . . a bulb failed in 1st floor front bedroom, could not see spares.Blinds are thin material letting in too much light, black out needed.Lovely floors but creaky stairs. TV better down on a low table.Bathroom sink was slow to drain, so we cleaned the cup and pipes - helped but needs proper clean out. Good shower, cramped loo. Bebe football downstairs; back door not lockable with key.No visitors book, so one learns nothing of your predecessors. Namur: St Loup [book a guide, Citadel & F Rops gallery make a special day. In conclusion would we recommend this property or consider visiting again. Now that we know it, we would certainly go again, it is a delicious area to explore and the Belgians are pretty friendly. Holiday Home in La Roche with Castle Views

"This place has been very beautifully renovated and it was overall sufficient for our trip. The location is 10/10 and walkable to everything in town and even has a very nice view of the castle. While there was salt, pepper, and a few other spices, there was no coffee, tea, shampoo, or even hand soap in the bathrooms (only 1 of 2 bathrooms had it and there was only dish soap in the kitchen). With such a late check-in at 5 pm, it's a little frustrating to have to run out to the store for basic amenities that most home stays and hotels have these days. I shouldn't have to buy hand soap for the bathroom for a 3-night stay (or bring it with me). The place itself is very nice, but it also has a bit of a cold feeling. Some artwork on the walls or a few other homely touches would make it feel more relaxing and cozy. It's also not the most toddler-friendly place with many narrow stairs, automatic lights in the hallway, and showers in the bedrooms (my toddler slipped and fell when the floor was wet, but it was in the bedroom and a bit harder to prevent). There is a gate at the top stairs, but our toddlers could still crawl through the bars, so we had to watch them very carefully in the only living area space. But despite the drawbacks, we still managed okay with the kids and really enjoyed our stay. I just think it's a homestay better suited for 4 adults with no kids :)"
