Summary: Set within a delightful walled garden, this exquisite two bedroom cottage is the perfect luxurious retreat. Located in the beautiful countryside village of Bathford, just ten minutes from the centre of Bath, here you have the best of both worlds. Stunning interiors with two large bedrooms with ensuite bathroom, a full kitchen, stylish lounge area with wood burning stove and a generous walled garden. Perfect for families, friends or a romantic getaway. The Space: When arriving at this gorgeous property you enter via the garden gate into the magical walled secret garden. The cottage is nestled in the corner with a generous patio outside the front - perfect for lazy summer evenings and breakfasts in the sunshine. Enter the cottage into a small hallway that leads to the main living/kitchen/dining area. A fully equipped kitchen - which includes a modern electric Aga - has everything you will need for your stay. A marble dining table seats four. The stylish living area has comfortable seating for four people, a wood burning stove for cosy winter nights and a smart TV. The generous bedrooms lead off from the main area. Bedroom 1 has a king sized bed, built in wardrobes, a dressing table and an ensuite bathroom with a bath. Bedroom 2 has a double bed, clothes hanging rack, and ensuite bathroom with a shower and double doors that lead into the garden. There is a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom of bedroom 2. Summer or winter we believe that you will find the cottage to be a comfortable retreat from the hustle and bustle of urban life while retaining the amenities of a modern world. Decorated with a keen eye for interior design, this is truly a very special place. The cottage is all on one level, however there are two small steps into the cottage. Also please note that you will need to walk 50 yards from the parking space along a garden path to the cottage. Guest Access: Guests have access to the entire cottage during their stay. The Neighborhood: Bathford is a popular village located approximately 3 miles to the east of Bath which has a number of amenities including a village shop. Avonvale Rugby Club and Bathford Cricket Club are based in the village, close to the River Avon, and Brown’s Folly is a historical tower offering far-reaching views of the surrounding countryside. The village allows for convenient access to Box, Corsham and to junction 18 of the M4 motorway (approximately 10 miles) via the A46. Getting Around: We advise arriving by car but there are regular buses to Bath city centre from Bathford. There are reliable local taxi firms available. Other Things to Note: We love dogs but unfortunately we are unable to accommodate them. There is small and shallow pond in the garden, children must be supervised at all times. We can provide one travel cot and high chair upon request. Please note that the cottage is a 50 yard walk from the parking space along a garden path. There may be times when the access to the parking space is unavailable but ample parking can be found at the top of the driveway in the village. Early check in and late check outs can be arranged subject to availability, charges will apply. Please contact us to let us know how we can help you.
