Despite being a hotel that is quite old, we appreciate that the room was renovated to a modern look and we like the beddings and stuff. However the bathroom was a let down because sewage odour kept escaping through the floor traps. To cover the smell, the housekeeping use urinal mat, commonly used in public men's toilet urinals, as deodoriser, making not only the bathroom but the whole room (in fact the whole floor) to smell like public toilet.

The room is spacious, we got the family room, during the stay there were few times power failure but restore quite fast, initially we got room 719, there was no power, then we asked for another room the front desk immediately gave us the replacement. Transport maybe a issues at times

Stay at Golden View Hotel

Have been at the same hotel several times, and it’s nice place to stay outside the noisy area of centrum. Very good service good food, and not the biggest pool but ok.

Poor customer service & bad attitude staff

The attitude of the staff at Reception is not up to standard and the check-in process is very slow. The staff there are working at tortoise speed. Early check-in is not possible and must die die wait till 2pm at least to check-in to our room. The room is spacious with quite dim lighting. The bed is very low and hard with super soft pillows which makes it difficult to sleep. Taste of the foods are not good for the breakfast buffet and long queue for the egg omelette station as the cooking staff takes her own sweet time to cook the eggs. Foods are not top up immediately when finished.

The room is spacious and the bed is really comfy. Just that the wifi can be abit slow and the internet at the area is quite bad. Its also near golden prawn 555/933 restaurant.

We took breakfast and lunch. Taste of the foods are not good. They have to improve it. Break fast long queue for the egg omlette and waffle. Foods are not top up immediately when finished. No air circulation in the corridors and high humid smell in the rooms.

This is the first time i stayed at this hotel. When we entered the lobby, the decor wowed us-but that was the only wow factor. Not convitent but there's shuttle service to nagoya mall

Nice hotel with a small ghost town nearby

Nice hotel.. there is a so call golden city within walking distance which offers activity like go kart, illusion museum, a traditional market and a miniature Indonesia. The hotel provides free shuttle to the traditional market which has stalls that sell vegetable, fish, dried food etc. About 2 rows of stalls back to back. Can cover with 10 mins if you don't intend to buy anything. Besides the stalls, there are some shops that sells clothes and shoes.

Value for Money, Good experiences.

Overall experience is good with friendly and prompt services from the staff. The room are spacious and one of the room even has separate shower & tub. The shower curtain on tub-only bathroom is unable to contain the water during shower, resulting wet floor in the bathroom. The breakfast spread varieties is good, but the taste is not exceptional to us. The hotel is within close proximity to go-kart attraction as well as some street food and shopping. There is shuttle bus provided from hotel to nearby Mall (Nagoya Hill & BCS), but we didn't use this service.

Nice hotel

Hotel is clean and very spacious, Bed alittle too hard and pillow too soft. Overall very good experience especially their staff were very helpful and nice. Breakfast still acceptable, location abit far from the malls but able to book the taxi from the hotel or use their shuttle service .

3 Days 2 Nights Stay

Location is good. 10 - 15 mins journey (free shuttle bus) to Nagoya Hill Shopping Centre and 3mins walk to Golden Prawn Seafood Restaurant from hotel. They provide free pick up from Batam Centre Ferry Terminal to hotel (Need to email for reservation). However, it is only a 1 way trip. Need to take cab to ferry Terminal on the day of check out. Need to improve in cleanliness. Overall 6.5 out of 10.
