It’s in a great location with 10 min walk to the train station. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The room is clean and there is water and coffee station in every floor which is very convenient. Will definitely stay again.

Wonderful hotel. The room has lots of great storage spots and despite booking the one person room, I was impressed with the fact it fitted a small table and padded bench. Staff were also lovely and the property has a wonderful, lively atmosphere. They were also able to support my late night (flight delayed) check in by leaving my doorcard in a little lockable safe outside the entrance. Amazing. Only minus points were hearing a low rumble of the tram every now and again, as well as hearing the neighbouring room one night. Regardless of this, I would definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others visiting Basel.

Good Hotel. Just not in the Summer months.
Nice new hotel on a quite street, near the river and walkable to the train station. Busy street around the corner - markets and restaurants galore. (But very sleepy on a Sunday - as is much of Switzerland). Top floor rooms have a nice deck and those deluxe rooms are worth the extra price. Coffee makers down the hall, with fresh fruit offered. Bar downstairs is very pricey. NOTE: I am very certain that the Nomad listed Air Conditioning as an amenity when I booked. (I always check). The listing has changed. And to be clear, the Nomad does not have Air Con. We were there when the car said it was 37.5 (99.5 F) when we pulled up. It was not welcomed to have such a hot room.
