"This hotel is not really managed in any meaningful sense. Wifi went down for three days, which meant going off to another hotel to work. They gave me a carton of orange juice by way of apology! The lady at reception also didn't know that only one of the POS machines works for international cards so lots of time wasted try to make a payment. "I booked a room for two people and was told the hotel policy was one per room. I waited an hour to get into my room. I waited about 3 hours to get my room key. Had to switch on the fridge myself. Even the one towel that was hotel policy, I had to request. There were no towels in the room I checked into. On the plus side, you get what you pay for. The bed was super comfortable."

"Very beautiful hotel with friendly staff and an amazing view, especially around the restaurant area perfect for taking pictures. The property itself is lovely and the atmosphere was relaxing. However, the pricing did not really match the overall experience we received. My biggest issue was with the booking process through Expedia. I accidentally selected the wrong check-in date for a 3-night stay, and within less than an hours of booking, I immediately requested a correction after noticing the mistake. Unfortunately, I was told the hotel had a strict non-refundable policy after 6 PM local time, and I still ended up losing the cost of one night even though the reservation had just been made. I then had to pay for an extra night to extend my stay. Another thing to note is that although the room was listed as accommodating up to 6 people, I was charged an additional ₦50,000 per night for a foldable bed for our group of 4. Overall, it’s a beautiful hotel with great photo spots and courteous staff, but I would advise future guests to double-check their booking details carefully and clarify all extra charges ahead of time to avoid unexpected costs."

"The staff at Lilygate are exceptional. I was created by my name as soon as I walked in the door! Nice touch. In addition, I was created with a refreshing cold bottle of water and juice. Ms. Chinyere Kalu, leader at the front desk was a perfect example of providing excellent customer service. She arranged my transportation from the airport to Lilygate, as well as from Lilygate to Ouidah, Benin. If I lived in Lagos, I would hire Ms. Kalu. If you're looking for a safe, comfortable, and pleasant experience in Lekki, remember to stay at Lilygate. Thank you to everyone! Well done!"
