The rooms are very clean and comfortable with a balcony to enjoy a cold beer. View of the river is essentially not there but if you are there for a view, go somewhere else. Location a bit difficult to locate as tucked away, but close to everything and very quiet away from main street traffic and craziness. Red Door is a new and quite good hotel, located in a quiet area near the Chao Phraya river, but still just a short walk from the action in Khaosan Rd. Rooms are nice. The breakfast is self-service style - simple, but plentiful. I would probably give Red Door a better review if I had not been placed at the ground floor. From the windows and balcony I stared into a high wall, just a half meter from the balcony, making a stay at the balcony rather claustrophobic. Others said the breakfast is basic. This is true compared to more expensive hotels but we were happy with it and there was certainly enough to get the day off to a good start.
