Family run and open since the 1920s. An older style property but style very much in keeping with the local area. Clean and tidy throughout and bar/restaurant appears popular with locals. Staff were friendly and accomodating. The hotel restaurant is closed on a Wednesday evening however there are a number of local restaurants nearby and staff were happy to provide directions and recommendations. Breakfast was traditional and plenty of options for even my fussy teenager. The directions from Expedia website took us the long way around and we were walking. It’s a long walk from the train station. The pool was always clean and cool water for hot summer days. The room was clean and plenty of towels available. The shared bathroom and shower were great and clean. Breakfast was continental and with good enough variety. We dont drink coffee but the owners offered fresh coffee. We didnt eat dinner or lunch at their restaurant as we were out and about during those hours. The property is well maintained, and in a beautiful spot! Very close to the gondola lift, and that was amazing. Very few people in the area speak English though, so come prepared to use a translation app or interpreter if you have one. The only negatives were that there is no air movement in the rooms - so it was warm and humid, no A/C, no fan. To counter that at least we could open the window, and it is pretty cool at night.
