In this multicultural area you can find shops and goodies from different sides of the world which is perfect for seeing this unity-side of the city-athens street lifestyle. Getting Around: The easiest way to reach the apartment At Filis street from the airpot is to catch the train from the airport platform and follow the blue line as it will take you to disembark at Monastiraki square , where by changing metro lines and crabing green metro line with destination towards kifisia , within 4 stops, you will have to disembark at Victoria station which is 6 minutes away from your final destination 500 meters by foot . Giving the oportunity to have a look and explore the neighborhood as well it will take you apparently 1 hour to reach the apartment from the airport. Being close to the green metro line at Victoria stop ,bare in mind is a good advantage, because it will give you the ability to explore Monastiraki square and Acropolis , and thus the city center in no time . Friendly transport the area is known also trolleys ( 4 , 5 , 11) from Mauromateon street which is located within 3 min walking from your location , can take you to Sydagma and also give you the experience of having a complete image of Greek transportation . This property is completely unsafe for tourists. It is located on Felis Street in central Athens, a location widely regarded by locals as one of the most dangerous streets in the city. The entire street is surrounded by brothels, homelessness, and visible drug activity. Directly opposite the apartment is a brothel, and the building next door is a derelict shelter that has been broken into and is now used by drug users and the homeless. At no point did we feel safe, especially at night. This is residential apartment in a poorly maintained building. Throughout our stay, we were repeatedly woken up by loud noises: once by drilling in the building during the night, and another time by screaming and what seemed to be a violent argument outside. The shower is also faulty, a door panel is missing, so the bathroom floor floods unless you shower very carefully. Additionally, the hot water takes around 20 minutes to heat up, which is extremely inconvenient. The lift is ancient. In order for it to operate, you need to manually pull a wheel at the top of the inner door something no tourist would reasonably be expected to know. If you don’t, the lift stops working entirely. The handful of positive reviews on this listing appear to be written by friends/family, they are not reflective of the reality. Also great contact and a lot of help from Homerentality crew. It's really an excellent place to stay in Athens. I'm hoping to rent this place one more time in future 😃 ##### Chris K. Der Fahrstuhl hat uns nicht gefallen, da es wie ein alter Lastenaufzug ist & ziemlich wackelig. Convenient. Modern responsive manager Compact, modern and convenient. Would rent again! Less than a 10 minute walk to Victoria Station. Wifi a great plus. Recommend for a couple on a short term stay. On 5th floor and has a lift. Shower space is compact, no tub No oven but microwave and stovetop If you look out over the balcony you see a glimpse of the Parthenon Very responsive manager.
