The continental breakfast was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was historical and very comfortable to stay in. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
When we checked in we were given a room and went up there. Both keycards worked great and we went in the room and there was someone elses stuff in there! Fortunately they weren't in the room otherwise that would have been TERRIBLE. We went back down to the front desk and the staff member was going up the elevator and said he would be right back. We waited about 15 minutes, this was at 4PM so right at check in time so there were 5 other parties behind us by the time he came back, and then he tried to blame the cleaning staff and said he would talk to them about it. I would have appreciated if he just apologized and owned it but lying to us and throwing someone else under the bus seemed like a very lousy thing to do. You could tell he knew he had messed up because every time we saw him he avoided looking at us and didn't talk to us.
Other than that the continental breakfast was really good and the rooftop is incredible.
The TV was at an angle because the cord was so short it had to be stretched that way and there were several channels that were "audio only" because their service was messed up.
Also when you get in the elevator the floor says "WONDERFUL BEDS" and that is not even remotely true. The beds were awful. My back usually hates all other beds but even my girlfriend couldn't sleep and was sore and she never gets that.
Overall the roof top and breakfast give it 2 stars but this experience was awful and I won't be back.
"Wonderful beds" was true. So true that it's painted on the side of the building and on the elevator floor.
Breakfast was pretty comparable to other hotels. We had a suite type room which provided a nice amount of space and the bathroom was probably the nicest of the ones we had on the trip.
Great location for downtown activities, they have a very strict 4pm check in, the one dimensional desk clerk would not deviate from that, even at 3:38pm. The stay was fine minus being woken up at 1am by a knock on the door from a drunk kid that realized “my bad, wrong room.” Then vomited in the hall.

I highly recommend the Hotel Elliot. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The stately building itself was a joy to stay in. Kept up beautifully and best of all so much quieter than the accommodations that I generally patronize. The only thing I would recommend is that they switch to a TV provider that offers a greater selection of stations.
The staff is amazing! Eric and Donnata rock the house! I stayed for a week in the King room. It was perfect! Being so close to walk to everything but being able to jump in the car and head out! They have a nice wine bar that everyone loves and the patrons are wonderful! Leota of joy happening! The lobby is super cozy as well. It is a beautiful place and I will be going back! I appreciated having a fridge in my room. :)
Frondesk experience was stellar. Room was extremely comfortable, clean, quiet and had lovely details from its historical roots. (Original wooden doors, faux antique dial phone, retro vintage prints, etc.) Fabulous heated tile floor in the bath. Quality linens, and nice fluffy robes. In room coffee, microwave and fridge for convenience.
Clean, comfortable room. We only had one wash cloth and had to ask for more, but we got more quickly. We loved the wine bar that was open from 5-9 on Friday and Saturday. The server, Ingrid is a gem. She is so helpful and welcoming.
Quaint, period-piece boutique hotel that has been lovingly restored. Comfortable bed! Clean room and pleasant staff, adequate breakfast. Fantastic central location.
