The whole hotel has a great atomic era vibe to it! The breakfast was pretty generous for a Motel. The rooms were pretty clean and had a nice view and aesthetic. The only downside I'd say is that the room gets a bit stuffy.
The Atomic Motel gives you everything you would expect from a budget motel, but with character and a breakfast that was a nice treat. I stayed there for the Great Columbia Crossing run and the location is idea for that. It's a decent 20 minute walk to city center. I would like to stay here again next time!
A solid choice for a quick stopover on the way to Astoria. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which is exactly what you want after a long drive. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment we walked in. The only downside is the morning breakfast, which is very limited in options—you will likely want to plan on grabbing coffee and a full meal somewhere else on the road. Overall, it is a perfectly clean, practical, and friendly place to crash for a single night before continuing your trip.
It’s a novel retro motel. One should expect thin walls and limited amenities. Clean and a great value. We are return visitors and would definitely recommend. Be aware it’s a 60 year old motel.
The room was cute, comfortable and clean. Love the retro vibe and decor. The bed was nice - a firm memory foam mattress. The only negative is that it's right on a main collector road and traffic got pretty noisy by 5 am, including a garbage truck beeping and banging dumpsters around at 5 am (not the hotel's fault though).
Excellent location, wonderful staff, beds were comfortable and breakfast was decent.

The room was just okay. Fine for a one night stay. The staff however, were fantastic! So nice and accommodating. The rooms decor was cute but the room wasn't that clean. Ex. there were still coffee stains on furniture from the previous guests. if you just need a place to lay your head without any frills then this fits the bill. Otherwise, I would probably stay at a different hotel.
Cute tidy place with mid century kitsch vibe (including a diner next door), near the Astoria Riverwalk with a great view of the Astoria-Megler bridge. Check in was quick and efficient ; parking was no problem. It is a classic motel—there were sounds from neighbors and occasional passing traffic . Altogether though, we were pleased to find a comfortable stay at this price point on a holiday weekend ; would return
Motel was clean and reasonably priced. Retro decor was fun. The staff were helpful and happily offered suggestions for food and fun. It is within walking distance of the Bridgeport Bistro which is one of the best places to eat in Astoria. If you are looking for something more than fruit and pastries for breakfast, there is a Pig and Pancake restaurant right next door. You do have to be careful crossing the busy street to get to the Piers.
Need friendlier staff. Few lights in room. Breakfast hours start late. Breakfast is skimpy.

Check-in was amazing, the front desk clerk was extremely helpful and very friendly. She gave us some ideas for dinner and breakfast, and things to do.
The room was very dated, but had a fun atmosphere. The back window is level with the street and headlight shined in all night and there was not a curtain to close.
The bathroom was icky. I put a towel down to shower. No vent and the window only opened a sliver, so it is what you would expect.
Price was good. Bed was comfortable.
I had read a couple negative reviews so was a little worried. But this motel was great. It was clean and well maintained. It’s an older coastal town motel but very clean and modern considering the mid century modern motif. Parking was fine. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed four nights and the location was perfect for running around town. The only complaint I have is that the bathroom with the toilet and shower are separate from the sink/vanity area, however, the light switch turns on both area lights which floods the bedroom with light, a separate light for just the toilet area room would be better. Other than that the room was fine. If it ever in Astoria again, and I hope to be, I will stay there again.
