Rustic Trails is a haven of eco-friendly tranquility, blending sustainable living with the charm of the Idaho wilderness. Enjoy the comforts of home with biodegradable amenities and the option of EV charging. This cabin, with its unique character and green ethos, invites you to a serene escape where nature and care for the environment go hand in hand.
The space
Discover Rustic Trails, a cozy 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom cabin embracing the natural way of living. Handicap accessible with a spacious yard, it's perfect for those bringing along a drift boat. Enjoy the refreshing 'mountain air conditioning' as crisp evenings give way to cool, comfortable summers. Open your windows to the night's chill and close them with the morning's first light to keep the cabin naturally cool all day. This is the authentic Idaho experience.
Guest access
Your private retreat awaits at Rustic Trails, offering exclusive access to both the cabin and its expansive yard, ensuring your stay is intimate and undisturbed. Although another cabin shares this serene property, a discreet fence maintains your privacy. The shared circular driveway is a nod to community spirit; we appreciate your cooperation in keeping it clear. For those needing more space or looking to accommodate a group, Grandpa's Rustic Cabin is available to book alongside, perfect for larger gatherings seeking to immerse in the tranquil Idaho landscape.
Other things to note
Nestled on a tranquil rural road, Rustic Trail offers the perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility, just 1.5 miles from town. Step out your door and onto the "Rails to Trails", a 29.6-mile path perfect for biking, bird watching, and more, with year-round activities like cross-country skiing. Plus, you're within easy reach of Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Grand Targhee, and Jackson, making it an ideal base for exploring the majestic outdoors.
57 miles (1 hour drive) to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
77 miles (1 hour 40 minute drive) to Grand Teton National Park
49 miles (1 hour drive) from Grand Targhee Ski Resort
72 miles (1.5 hour drive ) from Jackson WY
This unique place has a style all its own. And we have tried to be eco conscious and use biodegradable/earth friendly products. Let us know if you will need it. Its a 2 bedroom 1 bathroom handicap accessible cabin. It has a spacious back yard. Circle driveway with enough parking to bring your drift boat. There is no AC in this unit. However, there is this thing called “mountain air conditioning.” It is a beautiful thing. The average lows at night in the hottest part of the summer is in the 50s. If you leave the windows open at night the cool air gets in and then in the morning before the sun gets too high, close the windows and this will keep the cabin cool all day. This is how most people here live. You will have access to the whole cabin and yard. It is not shared. However, there is a cabin on the same property. The yards are separated by a fence as you will see in some of the pictures. The circle driveway is shared so please be considerate and don't block it. You can even rent the little cabin "Grandpas Rustic Cabin" for more of a family/group trip. We like to give our guests the space they need to enjoy their trip, but we are available if need thru the app. We are located 1.5 miles west of Ashton, ID in a rural area. Close enough to go to the market or grab a bite to eat. Rustic Trail is on a rural road. But still conveniently close to town. (1.5 miles) "Rails to Trails" accessibility 1/3 mile away. The Ashton-Tetonia Trail is a 29.6 mile trail that follows the abandoned railroad grade of the Teton Valley Branch of the Union Pacific Railroad from Ashton to Tetonia. There you can do some biking, bird watching, hiking, horseback riding. And in the winter you can do some cross country skiing or snowshoeing. For more information on this trail you can visit the parks and recreation of idaho website. 57 miles (1 hour drive) to the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. 77 miles (1 hour 40 minute drive) to Grand Teton National Park 49 miles (1 hour drive) from Grand Targhee Ski Resort 72 miles (1.5 hour drive ) from Jackson WY
