"We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's rare that my husband would comment on the comfortable bed, but he did, and not only that but the thread count of the sheets! It was an awesome re-purposing of a historic landmark! It's easy walking distance to food and entertainment. We enjoyed dinner at nearby Union Ave. Bar & Eatery, and the Outstate Brewing Company had awesome beer and live music. This place is a real gem!"

"It’s a wonderful property- or once was….needs a million dollar clean up and update…..Staff are wonderful and the restaurant and Rafters Bar are wonderful hangouts in the off season. Nice trails and location. Easy access to Alexandria and interesting check points all around."

"Great cozy place! Lots of bedrooms and group spaces to relax throughout the house. The giant movie screen was a bonus during our rainy weekend. The giant kitchen table was perfect for games and puzzles. The hosts responded quickly to any questions."

"We had stayed here last November also and you can tell the difference with the new owners. Everything is shaping up nicely. New carpet and everything was spotless. They have a nice breakfast available also. Plan on staying here often as we have a new grandson in the area."

"A beautiful home with gorgeous lake views! This home was exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The kitchen had everything needed to make dinners and the beds were very comfortable. We saw so much wildlife including deer, fox, squirrels, pheasants, pelicans, loons, ducks, and other waterfowl. The property is private and wooded. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Scott for everything."

"The cabin was cozy, clean, quiet, and absolutely beautiful. The property owner was so accommodating and supportive. I gave 4 out of 5 stars for the check-in process, but not against the property owner or property itself. It appears to be a systematic failure on VRBO itself. I highly recommend."
