A truly lovely place to stay! One of the best hotel views EVER.
Very friendly staff, well-maintained and new rooms. And did I mention the views?
Fewer frills than some of the bigger properties in the Duoro, but peaceful, comfortable and friendly. Highly recommended!
Beautiful setting. View of the terraced vineyards and the river makes you feel like you are part of a backdrop or a picture! So quiet and serene. Clean and friendly staff. Amazing breakfast included. Highly recommend.
This is a stunning property set in the hills of the Douro. Incredible views and very peaceful.Friendly staff and a very nice cold breakfast included. There were scrambled eggs available.
Part of the charm is that you are off the beaten track but if you are not going for dinner in the village then bring your own snacks.
Fantastic stay for 2 nights in late September. Location is a challenging drive up a mountain, mixed signage. Great staff, lovely room and outstanding view on a clear sunny day. One challenge - breakfast is provided, dinner is not available....we did ask for a cheese platter one evening (the only option) but it was not made for us, not sure why - so we had to drive 15 mins into town in the dark. Overall a fantastic stay but be warned it is not a hotel, it is a quinta (farm) that does not really have much more than a room with a view. For that its amazing.
This was a beautiful experience for our family! The service from Elvira and Caterina was excellent. They were so kind and treated us like family. Would definitely come back again!!!
Spectacular view of the Douro Valley. Very clean modern open design. (Discussed the feedback already received with the host about the modern ‘open’ room floor plan)
Staff was great. Excellent breakfast. Helpful dinner suggestions.
Really nice place and nice view of the river and mountains. The room are a little noisy (you can ear next door room and above the room), no intimacy for shower and bathroom - open space). Late breakfast in the morning.
Friendly staff
The staff are nice, good communication. Check in till 6pm but he was so nice to wait for us until 7pm.
The hotel is well designed, interior design is impressive. The view is stunning and the breakfast buffet is fulfillibg. Would love to stay again in the future!
We had a very nice stay here. The property is small, so it is quiet (I believe only a total of 4 rooms). The views from the property are immaculate. There are such pretty views of the duoro river. In the morning, a homemade breakfast of eggs, meats, and fresh fruits is available.
I will say that it is not possible to walk from the property to any restaurants or wineries, but taxis seems to be readily available.
Overall, we had a wonderful stay
Elvira and Katerina were one of the highlights, just after the beautiful surroundings and installations.
We reached the hotel by rental car from Porto, 1 hour and 40 minutes. The hotel is on top of a hill full of vineyards, and what a beautiful view of the river the hotel has.
In the morning breakfast is served beautifully. You can buy wine from the Quinta by glass or bottle, good quality.
The hotel has no restaurant so you have to go to town for lunch and dinner.
Room was immaculate, although I should mention that the toilet has no door, so privacy there is none.
There is a non acclimated pool, too cold when I went. Had a wonderful massage.
I would love to go back someday, especially around August or September when the grapes are ripe and the weather is a little warmer. One of my favorites for sure.
Cannot wait to return to this place! It’s like getting a private look into the winery and the hosts make you feel so important from check in to check out. We slept in on the first day (knowingly missing the included breakfast time) but they made fresh breakfast for us any way without our asking. The views are outstanding! Full access to request bottles of wine be left for you in the evening and you definitely want to request the charcuterie board!! Bathrooms are open to the rest of the room so make sure you are comfortable with your roommate hearing/witnessing all activities there (not a problem for us but, for awareness). Certainly a bed and breakfast vibe. We had a fun time meeting the other guests and chatting in the evening on the deck while enjoying our wine and tapas.
Upon arriving we’ve found that the hotel is under renovation. People were hammering and using noisy cement machines just under our window and the pool area. We’ve intended to stay 2 nights and asked the manager to stay only one night and search for another place but he refused to cancel the 2nd night’s payment and the hotels.com staff weren’t helpful as well. So instead of a peaceful romantic vacation we were forced to use ear plugs from 8am to 6pm.
