Garden with patio, sitting-out area and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. Please note: There are two steps in the garden. . Eider Cottage has uninterrupted views across open fields with the sea as a backdrop from the patio windows and outside seating area. Set near the entrance of a small, quiet cul de sac within the picturesque coastal village of Embleton, this compact, self catering holiday bungalow is extremely well placed for a peaceful seaside retreat. The open plan living area has patio doors opening out onto the garden, maximising the amazing views. A lane close to the cottage leads directly to the golden sands of Embleton bay; idyllic for an evening stroll and listening to the waves lapping gently against the seashore. Local facilities are a gentle stroll from Eider Cottage and include a post office/shop, pubs serving good food, a church, golf club and an excellent children’s play park. This ideally located holiday home offers a superb base in which to explore this magnificent Heritage shoreline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Nearby is Craster, famous for its smoked kippers and glorious walks along the cliff top to Dunstanburgh Castle should not be missed. Seahouses, a bustling little seaside town, has boat trips to the Farne Islands, ample fish and chip shops and a working harbour. Only a few miles from Alnwick with its famous castle used in Harry Potter and Downton Abbey.

Excellent location in a lovely village.

Excellent location in a lovely village. Pubs nearby and village shop are great. Less than a mile walk to the beach and great views of the sea front the cottage garden. Plenty to do in nearby locations.

In a lovely village and with a lovely view to the sea. Well equipped but some maintenance issues that needed sorting. Water dangerously hot, dripping taps, broken handle on freezer box, leaking kettle and no batteries in remote control for gas fired stove. The beds were comfortable and there was sufficient seating. We could not find the visitors' book and it's the first cottage that we have used that didn't have a welcome pack. We had wonderful weather in a lovely area.
