« The only thing going for this place was the central location, near to historic sites and restaurants. The faults were many. It was advertised as a B&B, but breakfasts had ceased in June of this year. the room was shabby and claustrophobic. dust and grime were apparent throughout. the shower room was cramped and mould was apparent. « Let me,start by saying all the staff were absilutely brilliant and friendly. Hitel gowever seems to be in a state or ill repair. Paint falling off walls and ceilings. Curtainscthat didn't close fully. Heating was never on and very cold in am. Carpets filthy. Door to my room was in very bad state. Just think whoever owns this needs to get his finger out and invest in the property and staff. Not good. »

« Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. »

« Booked this property on a Saturday to stay that night turned up there was people staying there that told us we have to phone the hotel so get the PIN code to get in so we did only to be told over the phone that there was no rooms available due to renovation so we asked for a refund n we’ve not received any refund whatsoever !!!! Nothing to say on the website about renovations, scammers avoid! »
