Great OCEAN VIEWS without the oceanfront rental prices! Beach access is easy and quick, right across the street. Over 2,000 square feet, on a quiet, non-busy street with a view of the ocean or Bogue sound from every single window in the house! Make this your 2nd home for a week (or two) and you'll never want to leave. We want your family & friends to have a great experience and forget all of their worries while making great memories that will last a lifetime. Sound too good to be true or too much like a Hallmark card? Well, we aren't kidding! Wake up every morning and walk directly out of your bedroom onto the deck and breathe in Emerald Isle's salty air. Hear the waves crashing on the beach. House has 4 bedrooms with three King beds and one Queen bed (all with deck/balcony access) plus a kids' loft/entertainment area on the 4th level with 4 twin beds. In the den you can even watch TV, look to your left and see the ocean... of course, that's just from the inside, wait until you step out onto the decks! Beach access is literally steps away across the street with a wooden walkway leading directly to the surf. Families with young kids will enjoy this convenience by not having to walk far with all your beach supplies and stuff! You also have the convenience of our exhilarating outdoor shower with hot/cold water to wash off the beach sand and lotion. Cook all of your favorite 'beach foods' in our fully equipped kitchen while looking at the emerald blue ocean. Then dine and entertain inside with family & friends while enjoying the great ocean views from the large eating area, or have your meals outside on the upper deck where the view and sounds of the ocean enhance the experience. Watch schools of dolphins in the morning swim by & flocks of pelicans dive in for a snack in the afternoon. If you need some shade, head down to the lower level deck & relax on one of our lounge or rocking chairs. Of course, the decks have great views, but nothing can beat hanging out on the beach & swimming in the ocean. After a long day, enjoy our outdoor shower (w/ hot & cold water) and indulge in some great local seafood at one of many restaurants within minutes of the house. After the kids have gone to sleep, sneak back out on the deck and look at the moonlight shine over the water with a glass of your favorite beverage. Get the best sleep of your life (as long as you put on plenty of sunscreen) and wake up ready to do it all over again! Just steps from a beautiful, clean and not overly crowded beach. A few things to be aware of: your 160 “linen fee” covers what appears to be commercially cleaned linens. Sounds nice, right? Just save some energy after a (potentially) long day of travel to get to your vacation destination because you get to put the linens on every single bed. And try not to let your mind jump to the logical assumption that this means the bedspreads you’re about to be sleeping under were likely NOT laundered between visitors. (Yuck!)Be sure to remember to bring your own toilet paper as this isn’t provided in your rental costs. Bring your analgesic of choice as well, because the “upgraded” mattresses are quite …mushy for lack of a better term. Also, watch your fingers and small children if you’re trying to go out on the upper deck. Not sure what’s going on with the door/weather stripping there but you have to REALLY want to go out there, and then you’re going to have to fight your way out and back in.Finally, make sure to take a zillion photo upon your arrival and upon check out. Of the most innocuous things, like the layers of grime around door handles and light switches, broken outlet covers. My sister, sister in law, 5 granddaughters (ages 10-15) and myself spent a wonderful week here. We went to the beach (which was not over crowded even on July), visited the aquarium, rented a pontoon boat, but this is where we cooked and ate meals, played games and made memories, read books and talked. The girls boogie-boarded and played in the surf almost every day. On the red-flag day (luckily Friday), we did a little packing but we still walked on the beach at night and then returned to sit on the deck. This house was better than described: Clean! Stocked! Soft linens, even on sunburned bodies! Comfortable beds, and fining table to seat 10, plus 5 The location could not have been better. We sat on the ocean facing deck every night and read or just listened to the waves. On July 4th, we saw great firework displays in every direction. It was exactly what we needed. We were just a short walk from the shore and could hear the ocean from our porches. The rooms were clean with plenty of space, there were enough bathrooms and couch space for everyone!
