On the side the resort is wonderful, staff can’t do enough to help you and the valley is beautiful. Quality of food is high. Transportation is slow and electrical bicycles should be provided to each tent ( they have some regular broken bikes that clearly don’t do the job and are uncomfortable. Food is overpriced and mediocre $80 for chicken and some mezze. Water was lukewarm and at night it gets cold so not pleasant. Payment Handling & Conflicting Communication (Before Arrival) - My reservation was made via Expedia as “Pay at hotel, however my card was charged on 27 November 2025\. Two days before arrival, the hotel messaged me through Expedia saying there was a payment issue and that I needed to contact the hotel to retain my room. 2) First Night - No Hot Water!!! - The villa had water pressure issues and no hot water, forcing me to shower without hot water in the cold desert. 3) Manager Problem and Brand Accountability When we expressed disappointment and noted we expected better from Banyan Tree, the manager responded that “Banyan Tree only KIND OF manage this place.” This is an unacceptable/ ridiculous statement to make to a guest.. 4) Lack of Promised Facilities / Misleading Guest Experience There were supposed to be bikes for guests, but despite requesting them, no bikes were provided during our entire stay. The pool was closed without being communicated to us in advance. 5) Food & Beverage Service Issues - Food services were extremely slow and charge ridiculous prices.
