Ahwahnee Vacation Packages

The woman at the front desk was super kind; she said she was hoping I would come before her shift ended to help me choose a room. They have done rooms for guests with pets, and I wanted one that does not accommodate pets so we were able to get what we wanted. The room was clean and didn't have carpets. I really liked that there were no carpets!

Great rooms

The place’s details are somewhat misleading or confusing. When I was looking for a room for 4 adults (2 couples) I was expecting at least 2 full size beds, and that’s what I thought I had reserved. I was looking at the pictures of all the available units and noticed that some of the basic rooms had it’s own kitchenette and bathroom, so I assumed that the one I got (a deluxe) was supposed to be better than the basic ones. The day of my check in, I arrived like around 8:30 pm, 30 minutes before check in window closed. At checking, the lady at the front desk was giving me the details about my room location, and the community bathrooms location!!! What!!!??? I tried to complain about it because I wasn’t expecting community restrooms in the middle of the whole property. She said that all the details are explained on the web site, and that I will survive a night without “my commodities”. It was late and I was exhausted, so I just went to my room to rest, once I got to it, the worst came up, there was only a full size bed and a twin bunk bed with a ref in between and a table and 2 chairs by the entry. What about the kitchenette I was expecting!!!??? I brought in some groceries to make breakfast & coffee in the morning but that couldn’t be done because not kitchenette was there, or a coffee maker!! I was “lucky” enough to sleep with my wife, but my friends (another couple) had to sleep separately because of the twin bunk bed, not a big deal, but this wasn’t what we were expecting.

Our room was occupied. Staff gave us a nicer room right away.
