They are poorly insulated metal trailer like houses with no proper heating. There is a propane burner in the living room that provides some heat in the main room but not in the bedrooms. Even if you do run it, you have to keep the windows open to avoid dying from carbon monoxide. In the morning it was so cold you could see your breath. It’s location is perfect for exploring the souks and Jamma al Fnaa square. The amenities and staff couldn’t be any better. The Riad (a house transformed into a hotel) has a wonderful vibe about it. It has old world charm with modern amenities. There is nightly live music from 8pm until 11pm. I loved the Jazz and Latin nights. The rooftop restaurant “The Pergola” was excellent. The tagine and backshish kebabs were some of my favorite dishes. The Casablanca beer was cold and had a clean crisp taste. The staff were phenomenal. Personable, efficient and very helpful. They felt more like friends than employees. They all spoke English but French and Arabic as well. From my first experience with Soufian at the front desk to the cooks and wait staff and even the staff cleaning the rooms, they all went above and beyond to make it feel like home away from home. I can’t wait to return! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Marrakech!"
