It is NOT the hotel's fault, and we never felt threatened in the hotel, but it was highly advised that we not walk around at night. There was a very sleazy club next door, and quite a lot of music noise at night (I use white noise and ear plugs so wasn't bothered much). The food at the hotel is GREAT! It was a really good transition for us coming from the USA and wanting to have safe food to fall back on.
