Forfaits vacances – Above Derwent

I travelled with my wife for a 3 day trip, right from check-in the staff were friendly and helpful it had a homely feel and made it extremely comfortable, the meals were first class your chef is in a class of his own,the service was brilliant all of our stay many thanks to them all,when we are back in the area we will staying again and will recommend it to anyone without hesitation

The location and surrounding area is beautiful ,meals ere good and public rooms were very comfortable and well presented. The main issue and disappointment was that the area was a live building site as construction works were still being carried out on the Spa area, Construction traffic ,materials and staff were everywhere and this caused difficulties with parking and Hotel access when driving. The room we had was nice but the TV did not work properly and with no internet connection viewing choices were limited., There was no remote to operate the air cooling fan (room was very hot). The fan in the bathroom did not work and only one window would open for adequate fresh air. Construction noise started at 6:30 and continued until late afternoon/early evening.I was made aware of the construction work shortly after making my booking but was not anticipating so much work still to be carried out as the latest information supplied stated that the new facility was opening on the second day of our stay, this in fact did not happen and work was still being carried out on our departure date.

Bel hôtel idéalement situé, à côté de stade St James Park de l'équipe de football, 5min à peine du quartier chinois et autres restaurants en plus de celui de l'hôtel. Petit déjeuner complet, régulièrement réapprovisionné. Niveau sonore, tout dépend du côté donnant la chambre. Côté rue cela reste assez bruyant en fonction de l'animation surtout en soir de match. De l'autre côté, résidence universitaire et zone piétonne donc bien plus calme. Pas de parking sur place. Personnel très accueillant et disponible.
