The barn is near the Offas Dyke path and around 5 minutes drive from the base of the Skirrid Mountain, it is an ideal location for those that love to walk. The barn is heated with gas central heating and an additional electric fire is situated in the living room. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, with microwave, fridge, small freezer and a dishwasher. The living room has a large three cornered sofa and wide screen television which is linked to Freesat. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin and the bathroom has a bath with an electric shower over the bath. The mobile phone signal is poor but you can connect your phone to the Wi-Fi or feel free to wander the field to pick up a signal. We REALLY appreciated the level of thought for our dog, with the provision of towels and throws especially for him. In over 20 years of holiday cottages we have never encountered such enthusiasm to accomodate our dog. I do worry as he gets older about the laminate flooring rather than carpet but understand the easier cleaning aspect. But Y Stablau was a very lovely, comfortable, peaceful place to stay and we would love to come back. ##### Myra H. It is an excellent spot for those who love nature and walking, there are many great walks from the door and especially when you have collie dogs as we have who are happy to roam in the hills for hours. I fell rather badly and hurt both feet. As this was a walking break it completely ruined my experience. Bigger than I imagined from the online photos. Stunning place if you fancy a remote stay, yet Abergavenny is only 8 mins drive away. Everything was so clean and tidy, well equipped and good internet! Very well equipped, everything and more than you would need, washer with dryer, dishwasher, stove, microwave. Comfy beds, beautiful linens, plenty of thick towels, nice tiled bathroom. Barn is in a very quiet and peaceful location, and was clean and very warm and cosy with heating on. Located on a large field, which was ideal for our dogs to go out. Just a 15 minute drive into Abergavenny, which has some lovely little shops, a market and plenty of places too eat. Would love to visit again sometime. ##### Lynn G. The barn is very comfortable & cosy. Instructions to get there was spot on. It was very clean except for a couple of cobwebs with spiders in the corner of the main bedroom & lounge but this didn't bother me. Throws & towels provided for dogs, loved sitting outside with a cuppa in the mornings watching the sun come up. This accommodation was ideal for going out walking in the day & chilling in the evenings. ##### Gail C.
