"Very near dotondori"
We only stayed 1 night and we booked a non-smoking room, but obviously it was a smoking room. They put an air purifier in the room, but it did not help. The staff were really very nice. We came earlier and left our things, to our surprise, they already brought our things to our room. Smooth checking in and checking out. I hope they will change their check out time. 10:00 a.m. is to early.

"Close to everything"
Easy acess location, airport bus just downstair on street level. yokabashi is just across the street. Hotel setting is a bit old with small room, but i will compromise with the convenience and the price. I pay 130USD for a semi double bed with breakfast, in Aug. It seems a good deal comprare to my other hotels in the same trip in Kyoto and Tokyo. If you are out shopping, sightseeing the whole day, just need a place to shower and bed. I will highly recommend this hotel.

"Comfortable bed"
The staff was very nice and did their best to assist in any way. The room was very small by american standards, however I only used the room for sleeping so I didn't mind the room size. I had a twin bed no smoking room. I had to get a little creative in where to put luggage and other things for storage because there really was no extra space. There is no closet, you hang your clothes on hangers, on like a peg or this thing sticking out of the wall. You can only hang about 3-4 hangers deep on that peg and there are two of them but one is above the other so if your clothes are long, you are only hanging 3-4 items. If they are all short like slacks or a suit, you could fit maybe 6-8 items. The room was clean, could have been cleaner, but that's just me I guess. The air conditioner was perfect, you could turn that room into a refrigerator. They had free washer and dryer, but only two of them for the whole building, so you really had to get lucky when you went down to do laundry. But if someone else had their clothes that were done, just let the staff know and they will empty the machine and hold the person's clothes at the front desk so you can use the machine. Considering everything overall, for the price, you couldn't beat it. Clean and comfortable and at least half or 2/3 less than a major hotel near a major train station. Oh, and free wifi. Checked out in the morning, but they held our baggage for us until that evening because we had a late flight.

"Nice modern hotel close to Dotonbori"
Out of the three hotels that we stayed in during our trip to Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka), the APA Namba was the most modern and up to date hotel we stayed in. There are no Door Men or Bell Men to help with your bags, but the Front Desk was very helpful and spoke perfect English. Although most hotels in Japan are small, the room was probably the smallest of the three that we stayed in. My only complaint was that there was what appeared to be mold on the shower curtain (see pic)
