"Family run inn with high standard for cleanliness. Everything felt great. Modest rooms and no view in our room but a nice patio and grassy area. We loved the location, a short walk across a lovely bridge into town and restaurants and movie theater even closer. "
"We enjoyed our stay at Abby Creek. You get way more than you would expect of a 2-star Motel. The pool, hot tub and sauna were great (especially after running the Sun Mountain 50K). The staff were friendly and accommodating (they served early breakfast for those who had to be at the start line at 7am!).
The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Walking/biking distance to downtown via a scenic trail and a beautiful grassed area by the river at the back. We would definitely stay there...
"This is our 2nd time staying at Virginian hotel cabin and it’s still as good as the first time! We will keep coming back here if we are ever in winthrop"
"Very serene, beautiful setting. Just didn't work well for me not to have running water. For the rather high price of lodging, I wanted a little bit of luxury. Would be perfect for someone who prefers accommodations that are a bit more rustic. "

"Winthrop is a cool place. An old west styled town with a ton of outdoor activities throughout the area.
This property has an online check-in and coded room doors for those arriving late. The front desk is not manned 24/7 but there is plenty of signage if you need assistance of some kind.
Nicole was amazing, welcoming and kind. She was a great representative of the local people. Everywhere we went the locals were genuinely kindhearted and quick to offer assistance or shoot the breeze.
This is not a property you stay at for the amenities. There is no spa or 5 star restaurant. What they do have is very clean and neatly appointed rooms to enjoy after a day of hiking, shooting, rafting, skiing, biking, etc. It’s peaceful and quiet. We could hear the owls hooting and the whisper of the swoosh of their wings as the grabbed their dinner.
We will happily return.
