This hotel is definitely dated inside which might explain why many comments suggest the hotel will be going away in 2025 but the location is absolutely perfect. It is connected right at the train station and beside the mall. Day trips to Kyoto, Nara, Universal, etc couldn't be any easier. If you are only staying here to sleep and exploring the rest of the day I couldn't recommend it more

Very glad to have stayed at New Hankyu Osaka and many thanks to the kind staff. It is unfortunate that a historic 60 year old hotel in such a great location is closing down in January 2025. I recommend staying here if you are in Osaka while the hotel is open.

The property is quite old and will be closing in January of 2025. It's in a great location and part of the overall Umeda station area. A limousine bus goes from KIX directly to the airport. The room is starting to show its age. The lobby is beautiful, however. Keep your expectations in line for this, but this is an excellent hotel to stay at for your first night in Japan when coming international and partially jet lagged.

Excellent location, not the quietest as very near train tracks but it didn’t disrupt my sleep. Sad to know it’s closing down because i definitely would stay there again if I ever return to Japan.
