"We have just come back from a beautiful, comfortable stay at Glencree. Ian is a fantastic host and communication was very easy. To our surprise, we were upgraded to a suite which was absolutely stunning! The guest house is about a 10 minute walk from everything (including the lake) so brilliant location. "Small and cozy but clean and has everything you need. Wonderful owner, stayed up late to check us in as we arrived really late due to train delays. Even showed us a map, how to get around windermere and told us which towns are worth visiting. You can order a full english breakfast from them as well which tasted nice. "

There was plenty of room in the bedroom for the travel cot we brought with us, and they provided a high chair on arrival. The apartment was also dog friendly so our little pooch was able enjoy the trip with us (at a cost of £25 per night). The welcome pack did mention there was a free bag of dog treats available for dogs, but we didn't actually receive any. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything...
