“The Place to Stay”
If you are planning to stay in Georgetown, The Ritz is the place to stay. The Degrees bar is "The" place to have fun in the evening. The hotel staff always will go out of their way to please the guest. At the Ritz you are in the middle of all the action in Georgetown. Great Hotel.
“Perfect in Every Way!”
Fabulous location in the center of Georgetown, tucked away on a quiet street very close to the intersection of M Street and Wisconsin. Luxurious rooms and baths. Amazingly comfortable bed. Excellent food. Very helpful and friendly staff. A wonderful hotel in which to stay while visiting Washington, DC.
“Great Hotel”
Have now stayed at the Ritz Carlton Georgetown 4 times and it is fantastic . The staff go out of their way to get us whatever we need not to mention that they treat us like family , calling us by name .
“Good hotel”
I like the settings of the hotel, the people there are very helpful.
“Great DC Hotel”
The Ritz in Georgetown, DC was perfect. Service was exceptional, our room beautiful and the entire hotel was lovely. We will definately stay here every time we visit the Washington area.
“Modern Elegance in Georgetown/DC”
I was pleasantly surprised at how modern and elegant the DC Ritz-Carlton was relative to other Ritz-Carlton properties. It was particularly surprising as it was in the heart of Georgetown. Highly recommended.
“Think twice about this one.”
Upon our arrival, the doorman just forgot to notice our cab pull in and our hauling the luggage into the hotel. Once in, he ran up to us and as if he really didn't care and said he had failed to notice us pull in. That made us feel welcome. A totally overworked bellman took the luggage, but once checked in, I had to call twice to the front desk looking for it. The room was an upgrade called a "premier" and cost an add'l sum above the already premium room charge. There was nothing whatsoever "premier" about this room unless you want to consider looking at the ugly top a the neighboring building and all of its roof top AC units as a plus. The room was just a plain room with very little extra. It actually felt a bit worn. People were nice, but it seemed short staffed. Restuarant was wonderful. Overall, a lot was lacking in the general ambience of a five star hotel. All night long, there was a party somewhere close by as the booming music could be heard through the walls. At check out time, we had to haul our bags up a flight of stairs as no elevator appeared to go directly up to the lobby from the lower level. If so, it was not clearly marked and we looked everywhere. Of course there was no one around to help and doorman didn't notice us again as we left! Finally, he hailed us a cab, but it all felt like too little too late. Skip this one. There are so many others.
“excellent in places but menu lets it down”
A bit dark and austere and the room was not ready at 630 at night to check in! Having dined in Michelin and 5 star restaurants all over the world, surprised by a very limited restaurant with small choice and very american which you can get anywhere. Menu not up to a 5 star hotel in my opinion. Failed to excite so dined out elsewhere in Georgetown which proved to be very good and has plenty to offer. Everyone wants a tip and makes it very clear to you of their expectation which I found annoying as I will only tip if the service warrants it - calling a cab from 6 feet waiting on the road is not much effort. Either highway noise or something else is a little disconcerting when walking around the hotel, but happy to say the rooms were nice and quiet. Good location though and the rooms are excellent and very comfortable.
