“Loved it!”
Great Great Great!! Can't beat the location and the price!
“Welcoming Place to Stay”
Very nice place to stay. Was on business and arrived to the lights on in my room every night, always clean, room service and housekeeping staff is wonderful. Enjoyed my stay.
“Friendly, cozy, convenient”
Hotel Lombardy is a charming place to stay because of the friendly staff and the comfortable rooms. My teenage daughter and I much prefer these smaller hotels to the large chains. We appreciated the small dressing area, the safe and the kitchenette with a good size refrigerator. The restaurant in the hotel is very good. There is a cozy bar, as well. Hotel Lombardy may not suit those people who like everything shiny and new, but we loved it. Lombardy is well located within walking distance of Georgetown in one direction and the White House and monuments and museums in the other. We also rode the Metro, which is just down the street. Nice restaurants are nearby, including one called Founding Farmers, all organic and upscale. I highly recommend Hotel Lombardy.
“Great location”
I loved the boutique feel and the location. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only criticism would be waiting for one of the tiny elevators when it's busy.
“Hotel Lombardy”
Suite was large and comfortable. The hotel staff was professional and attentive. The location was within walking distance to many restaurants, the metro and the national mall. I was very pleased with the hotel and would go back again. It was nice to stay at a hotel with old school doormen.
“Perfect location tasteful decor”
Perfect weekend gettaway for a family. The location is great: halfway from the Whitehouse and Georgetown. The decor is very tasteful blend of old world European and new age Oriental. The suite is nice size with kitchenette. Nice view of street, which is also a charming blend of shining comtempory office buildings and residental townhouses with beautiful facade. We would stay here again!
“Perfect hotel for adult travelers”
My husband and I loved the hotel and found it a perfect location for the 5 nights. Close to the Metro and a Whole Foods right around the corner for purchase of snacks to have in the room. Dupont Circle is very close and a great area for coffee in the morning and dinner at night. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again and recomend hotel for adults.
“Cozy, old-fashioned boutique hotel”
I loved staying here and will return. The location was perfect for getting around town, with two Metro stations within a few blocks. The hotel's housekeeping was immaculate, and the bed and linens super comfy. I had an outstanding dinner of sea bass in the Lombardy Cafe downstairs , and also had good meals at a number of other restaurants within walking distance. The staff was almost too friendly, greeting me each time I came in or left the building; each evening a staff member delivered bottled water to the room, and each morning I found a complimentary Washington Post outside my door. The building halls are narrow, and my room was quite small; on the other hand my bathroom was spacious with a nice vanity area and large storage shelf including a minibar. Excellent value for downtown DC !!
“An Excellent Choice!”
We booked this hotel after reading the reviews and hoped that the negative reviews were simply over reactions! Am I glad because this hotel is WONDERFUL! From the bed and sheets, beautiful decor to the friendliness of the staff and doorman. We were tucked into the corner of the eighth floor and it seemed as though we had the whole floor and hotel to ourselves! Excellent hotel at a excellent price! Will certainly go back soon!
“Great place to stay”
Wonderful little cozy, quiet boutique hotel in a great location for anything you might want to do in DC. The room was small, but not so small that you couldn't move around. There were only two of us, so we didn't mind. The bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and I slept great every night I was there. We loved the Venetian Room bar - great atmosphere for a late night drink or Happy Hour. I am a stickler for cleanliness and this place met if not exceeded my expectations. The staff was very nice and helpful too. There is an Au Bon Pain across the street where we had breakfast - but there's lots of other cafes and restaurants in the area as well. It was a 5 minute cab to M Street in Georgetown, where we went out one night, and it's only a short 3 block walk to the Foggy Bottom Metro station if you want to take the subway anywhere. The hotel is only about 6 blocks to the Memorial Mall, and it's a nice walk. It's also a short walk to the White House.
