"The scenery in Blenheim is amazing, and the BEC is the perfect place to enjoy it. Leon, the owner, was a great guy (very entertaining) and he went out of his way to make sure I had a perfect weekend. This is more like staying at a house than a resort (all the amenities are top notch though) and I really enjoyed the conversation and company of Leon and the other guests. "The hosts and accommodations were lovely. We left early our first morning for a day trip to Abel Tasman and Sally packed us a to go breakfast including homegrown tomatoes from her garden. I think they ordered up sunlight to stream into the breakfast room the next morning so it would shine on the locally grown fresh fruits. Way exceeded expectations. "

Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat."
