Located seven miles from The Florida Aquarium and the Performing Arts Center, Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay is enveloped by 35 acres of wildlife preserve. Guests can walk along boardwalks, charter the hotel's motor yacht, or enjoy the views from one of the three restaurants.
The on-site fitness center is open 24 hours and has cardio and strength-training equipment, a spa tub, and saunas. Two lighted tennis courts are available for guest use.
The hotel's business center has 20,000 square feet of meeting facilities, 19 conference rooms, computer workstations and a staffed, full-service document center. Wireless Internet access is available in public areas of the hotel (surcharge).
Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay offers complimentary shuttle service to nearby International Plaza for shopping and to and from Tampa International Airport. Self-parking is complimentary; valet parking is available for a fee. No in/out charges.
Room Amenities
Rooms
The Grand Hyatt has 445 guestrooms including suites and Casitas. With the exception of the Casitas, all accommodations provide floor-to-ceiling windows. Room décor includes inlaid teak furniture and tropical floral-motif artwork. Sitting areas are furnished with upholstered armchairs and hassocks.
Wired and wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in all guestrooms. Baths have large vanities with side lighting and granite shower/tub combinations.
All rooms include Hyatt's signature Grand Bed: Sealy Posturepedic mattress; 250-thread-count triple sheeting; down blankets; decorative throw; and an array of European, roll, and throw pillows. The Casitas also feature cool tile floors and ceiling fans.
Casitas are located approximately one quarter-mile from the main hotel building. Complimentary shuttle service is provided between the two destinations.

Dining
Armani's - Elegant fine dining on the top floor of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay, with expansive views of the bay and city skyline. Northern Italian cuisine, including favorites like Veal Scaloppine Armani and tiramisu. Rated "extraordinary" by Zagat's. Open for dinner only.
Oystercatchers - Decorated in Key West style, with views of Old Tampa Bay. Outdoor seating available. Menu highlights include fresh Florida seafood and a lavish Sunday brunch. Serves lunch and dinner Monday through Saturday, brunch on Sunday.
Petey Brown's - American cuisine served in a casual setting with floor-to-ceiling windows. A daily lunch buffet features pasta, soups, and salads. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner served daily.
Lobby Bar - Enjoy cocktails and light fare overlooking the pool area. Three large screen TVs.

Recreation
Golfers appreciate the Grand Hyatt's proximity to the scenic, par-71 Rocky Point Golf Course, one mile from the hotel. Also nearby: the par-72 Westchase Golf Course and the Tournament Players Club, annual host of the Outback Pro-Am Golf Tournament.
Other recreation opportunities include on-site tennis and basketball, two swimming pools, and an on-site nature trail/boardwalk. Guests can also make use of the hotel's fitness center, which has cardio and strength-training equipment and is open 24 hours a day.
Visitors who prefer to exercise in the comfort of their rooms enjoy in-room, on-demand yoga videos; the hotel offers yoga mats for guest use.

“My wife and I enjoy ourv stay”

Beautiful setting. The nature walk down to the gazebo on the bay was a very pleasant surprise. The room was very comfortable and well-kept. Every staff member we encountered seemed happy to serve our needs. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

Service was great. Front desk helped us with early check in and late check out. We were very happy with our stay. Our only complaint was the bed--it was too hard, but may be good for others.
“Great and close to the airport”
I would recommend for anyone traveling in from the airport. Real easy to find from the airport, although there was road construction at the time, and it appears that it might continue for at least another few months. Food was great as we were there for the New Years Eve buffet. We were down there for this years Outback Bowl, so if you are going to the superbowl or any game at Raymond James, it is only about a 10 min drive to the stadium.
“If ever in Tampa. . .”
I definitely recommend a stay at the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay. I've never stayed at a hotel near an airport but I was traveling with my elderly mother and did not want to start the trip driving any distance to a hotel. Contrary to one might fear, the rooms are very quiet and there is no evidence of airport noise. The hotel personnel is helpful to a fault-from the doormen to the front desk staff and everyone in between! Kudos to Hyatt on this excellent staff. The hotel grounds are park-like and well kept; our bay view room was well appointed, although a little more dusting of the furniture was in order. The front desk had pre-printed driving directions to many of the area attractions and the staff was helpful in looking on MapQuest for directions to locations for which there were no pre-printed ones.
“Soooo comfortable”
Our trip to Tampa was more business than pleasure and the Grand Hyatt was the perfect place to crash after a busy day. This was not a hotel where I would "hang out". It has a business atmosphere with beautiful amenities. However, the rooms are beyond comfortable and luxurious.
“Nice Getaway”
Hotel staff was extremely helpful and [genuinely] friendly; many of them remembered my name as well as my sons name. A little bit of confusion as we checked in, we requested a fridge for my sons medication, they told us we'd have one and it wasn't in our room. After a ton of waiting and runarounds, come to find out, there were no available refridgerators. They finally ended up upgrading our room and emptying the mini-bar for us; the hassle was worth it for the view we ended up with and the staff was really nice.
“My Hotel in Tampa”
We booked the Grand Hyatt after reveiwing several hotels in the Tampa area on-line. Having never been to Tampa before we didn't know our way around so we asked the front desk personnel for recommedndations and directions for restaurants and other sites and locations in the area. They were extremely friendly and more than willing to help in any way they could. We decided to take their rercommendation to eat at the Oystercatcher restaurant which is located on the hotel property and we were not disappointed - everything was superb, from the cocktails, the appetizers, the wonderful sourdough bread, and the meal itself. The hotel room was nicely decorated, comfortable and had a fabulous view overlooking Tampa Bay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and also look forward to the time when we can stay there again!
“Descent hotel. Seems to have its own exit from Causeway”
Close to airport but yet, you will not hear the planes take off and land. Option bay view but I just settled on a great view of the parking lot. Has all the amenities needed for a hotel. Free parking!!!
“Convenient to downtown which suited my purposes”
Very happy with hotel overall. Exercise facility excellent. Like convenience of shuttle to Malls. My only disappointment was that there was no free WIFI.
