“Mediocre with Multiple Personalities”

We wanted to try something new since we travel to Tallahassee often and usually stay in the same spot, but I wish we would have tried elsewhere. The decor was sensory overload. Every type of color and texture you can imagine all thrown together in a jumbled mess. It looked like a preteen idea of high style. Rooms had blue velvet curtains covering the shelves instead of cabinets. Staff said "Aloha!" all the time which I never understood since it isn't a tropical themed hotel. I stayed for three nights and never did figure out this brand. What is it? I don't even think the staff knows. The staff was friendly but look dishevled and overworked. The bar downstairs had a decent selection but is within walking distance of Mint and Level 8 so we did dinner and drinks off site each night. Overall an ok visit with a decent rate. Probably won't be back unless I have my kids with me. They would love the pool. Its a much better layout than most hotel pools.

“Nice but with a few glitches”

It's a nice hotel in a great location, but for the money was not fabulous. The woman who checked us in was not pleasant, smiling or helpful, parking was an extra $5. The room was nice but the sink did not drain well, the pillows were very small and lumpy and the air conditioner had us either freezing or hot. This is the second time I've stayed there and will probably give it one more shot. Very convienient to downtown and FSU.

“Disappointed”

Front desk staff is young, not very welcoming, seemed inexperienced & checked in another couple to our room despite already having us checked in. Hotel lounge is very close to lobby doors and breezy (cold in winter). Room's closet had thick layer of dust across clothes bar. Other than sitting on the bed, the only other seating in the room is a small desk chair. Hotel is well off the interstate, downtown, close to homeless shelter.

“Disappointed”

The only free coffee was during the breakfast hours. Breakfast was not free,we paid for sandwiches that we could not finish because it tasted horrible. The hand lotion in the room was not replaced after the first day. Even though we informed the reception desk that we did not have cars we were charged for parking two days ! after our checkout. The shuttle service only ran within a 2 mile radius and we were not able to go anywhere else. The airport is only 7 miles away and the hotel did not have a shuttle service for the airport.
