Our room had a stunning view, was beautifully furnished with a super comfy bed and included a fridge with water and milk, and tea and coffee making facilities. "The hotel and grounds are stunning. Spa (pool, jacuzzi, steam room and sauna) are really nice and well maintained. Super dog friendly (a few rooms). What really sets this hotel apart are the staff. Everyone we met from check in to check out were really friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. This includes all restaurant staff. "

"The building is tired , stair carpet threadbare. A shame as it’s a beautiful building. Needs TLC. We found the staff ok but inexperienced, they need more training. Our room was clean and comfortable. Gardens stunning. At breakfast there was a lot of people without food as they said they had run out. "

"Really enjoyed our little overnighter here. Absolutely stunning building. Nice size room with high ceiling in gorgeous Tudor style. Bed comfy nice bedding. Read some bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Yes the carpet is a little old and the chair by the window but it’s all part of the charm. Large modern bathroom. Only negative was a little dust on the windowsills nothing to ruin a lovely comfy night sleep and lovely staff at check in too"
