"Perfect nights before/after Sandals"
We stayed at La Heliconia the night of our arrival in Grenada as well as the night prior to our departure. By doing this, we were able to enjoy a full week at Sandals. It worked out perfectly! Our flight was delayed and I was concerned that we wouldn't make the 11PM check in so I called Expedia, who in turn called La Heliconia. They stayed up late waiting for us to arrive after midnight! The room was really an apartment, with a large living room and access to the common porch/balcony that encircles the upper building with views of the ocean. The AC worked very well in the bedroom but the living area just had fans. There was a dining table and small fridge. The room was in the front of the building so there was a lot of noise from traffic on the main road outside, but that quieted down eventually. The hotel is within walking distance to the airport and Sandals but the owner drove us to Sandals, picked us up at Sandals and got up early to take us to the airport - $10 for each trip. It worked out perfectly for us and would likely be a convenient place to stay for longer, if you didn't mind using cabs or the public bus to get to restaurants/beach/town.

"First Class Hassle Free Honeymoon in Rondoval"
Review for Rondoval with butler from late 30s honeymooners: We splurged and it was definitely worth the money. The rondovals are close to the "fun/big" pool but very private and immaculate. We decided that the privacy and ability to sunbathe at our own pool was more important than an ocean view and I think we made the right choice. The butler service makes the experience even better. They make your dinner/excursion reservations, bring you snacks and drinks, save you spots at the pool or beach, all while maintaining full privacy. They give you a cell phone to call them if you want anything and otherwise stop by a few times a day to check in on you. Sushi by the pool? Bubble bath with champagne? Romantic dinner in your room? Done! And no additional cost other than tipping them at the end. Unforgettable and amazing! The food was much better than we expected, we'd rate it 8/10. We tried a different spot each night which we'd recommend. Our favorites were Butch's, Soy and Kimonos. The resort is literally 2 minutes from the airport. We arrived at 6am because we wanted to enjoy the entire day. I was concerned about transfers being available that early and there was a Sandals booth waiting for us. Upon arriving at the hotel our room wasn't ready but they gave us full use of the facilities. We'd definitely recommend arriving early! Also, our concern about the proximity to the airport was unwarranted. Only a few flights a day going in and out and it was hardly noticeable.

"Great hotel on a pretty bay."
Unlike most new plastic looking hotels that could be in any island or city, this well renovated hotel feels like it was designed to fit the specific site in Grenada. It has large, comfortable rooms, good beds, great views and excellent food in the dining room. The scuba boats, two pools and lots of small sailboats keep everyone very busy. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our stay special.

"A Wonderful, Quiet, Retreat"
We stayed for a full week in this quiet cottages retreat south of St. Georges in Grenada on the West coast. It was wonderfully quiet, and the staff was eager to be helpful, without being intrusive. The cottage we stayed-in was essentially a large bedroom with an attached outdoor-exposure bathroom, and a large covered porch. The AC for the bedroom was very good, the closet space was large, and the double-double glass doors to the bedroom allowed for a magnificent view of the sea to the West. The outdoor bathroom was large, covered and screened, and led to a separate toilet and an uncovered soaking tub. We happened to stay in a cottage that was up the cliff-side, which required a bit of climbing up a stairway, but the view, and privacy, was worth the climb. A very nice bar/pool/open-air lounge area was located at the foot of the cliff and behind an almost exclusive, good-sized beach. The water was very clear and warm, and there was an extensive reef system a few tens of yards offshore that sheltered the beach and provided for some very good snorkeling from the beach. The restaurant was very good and, surprisingly, was an Italian cuisine themed dining place. Also on the grounds was an good spa at which my wife enjoyed a pedicure, and I enjoyed a massage. There is also a Yoga theatre with daily classes, and an enclosed exercise center with a good set of workout equipment. The hotel also helped us obtain good taxi service for our tours around the island.

"Hotel Quality"
This was my third time there, so there is something about it that I love. The grounds are well kept and are charming. The staff at the desk are professional and helpful. This time around there was no restaurant/kitchen. But it is advertized as having a restaurant. I was told that they are repairing the one that used to function. I think that this is a must. They have a self help kitchen but that is not made known. It should be. Otherwise people would have to find food away from the facility each time and many people would prefer not to have to do that. Still I love the place. It is on the beach basically. I would go back there...but the kitchen must be working.

"Wish we could have stayed longer"
Beautiful property and villa. We were very pleasantly surprised at the size and decor of our villa. Very friendly staff as with most places we have been in Grenada. Being in one of the very top villas makes for a long hike up the hill from the beach and the main office, restaurant building. The plus to this is you have amazing views and the breezes are cooler

"Located on best beach in Grenada for swimming. "
Hotel could use some maintenance. Bathroom door locked on my husband first night we were there and, luckily, I had nail scissors out on the other side that I could pass to him under the door so he could remove the door knob. My daughter's room never did get a working telephone. The patio screen door always came off the slider, and all it needed was to be set in properly. The food in the restaurant is very tiring. However, the location is excellent. Even though it is located on a public beach, we enjoyed our stay there immensely. You would have to put up with the Rum Runner's coming in plus speedboats pulling tubes whenever the cruise ships came in; which always stirred up the sand. There was one day where we could actually see our toes when swimming. Uniformed police cadets regularly patrol the public beaches in Grenanda and Mourne Rouge Beach is no exception. However, this did not deter the "hawkers" who would consistently approach you to buy something.
