My first visit to Istanbul and it certainly exceeded my expectations. The hotel was excellent and I look forward to a return visit. The staff were always helpful, the facilities were great, and the room was most comfortable.

Located in the heart of the old city Istanbul, between Sirkeci and Sultanahmet. The hotel offers 42 rooms dedicated to a …More
Terrific location, close to the Sultanahmet for Blue Mosque & Hagia Sofia. The Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar and Topkapi Palace are very close. The cafes and restaurants nearby offer varied food and price choices. Also the hotel is easy walking distance to the Galata Bridge for food or Bosphorus cruises. Trams runs regularly if anyone wants to go to Taksim. The hotel spa was good too.
We were looking for a nice and affordable b&b hotel for our sightseeing trip, and this hotel was one of the best choice we have ever made. The location was perfect at the historical downtown, all the important locations were very near and we had a nice view from our room to the Bospurus.
The hotel is also very new and clean. The staff of the hotel was very kind and helpful during the whole stay. As an example at the end of the trip, we actually forgot my car keys in the room and they called me at the airport and organised a taxi to carry it out for us. Thank you and big thumbs up!:)
The Best Western Empire in Sirkeci is very clean, wonderfully close to the Tramway, Eminonu ferry port, Sirkeci train station (and Marmaray) and all the sites in Sultanahmet. The staff were very helpful. Breakfast was decent, but not great. Water pressure and temperature in the shower was very good, and the radiators in the room were functional and well placed (even one in the bathroom to warm towels). There was a bit of a draft from the floor near one of the windows, but really not a problem. We got a good price through Expedia, and it was well worth it.
Hotel price and location are best asset to select this hotel, breakfast is included and average at best, however the hotel restaurant is by far the best dinner we had in Istanbul. Rooms are small and bed is very hard, our room leaked during our stay but we got changed quickly however to a smaller room. Staff is very friendly and services provided (arranging shuttles and tours) are top quality. 5 mins from Gülhame tran station helps get to main attraction points quickly and without paying for cab (45 mins from Atatürk by metro connection).
"The hotel is close to downtown and shopping area."
Although the hotel is close to downtown and shopping areas, it is very quite at night. The staff at hotel are very nice. The room is clean and comfort. The area where the hotel is located is very safe at night. Definitely, I will stay at the same hotel if I revisit Istanbul in the future. Also, I will recommend this hotel to my friend.
The staff were extremely helpful with providing advice on tours available around Istanbul. The breaky buffet is excellent and this hotel Istanbul close to all major tourist attractions within the old city. A+ for this hotel.
The Sirkeci district is on the European side of the Bosporus, about a 10-minute walk from Sultanahmet (the historic city centre). Sirkeci Railway Station, once the terminus for the famed Orient Express, is on the district’s northern edge. There are many small to mid-sized hotels here, several restaurants, and a Turkish bath.
