It's close (1-2 hours if you take the north vs south route) to the Sequoia parks/forest, and there's a big cat sanctuary a few miles up the road. "We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Rose Retreat. The room was perfect! We slept well on the very comfortable bed and used the ceiling fan and/or AC as needed. The furniture was high quality as were the linens. The bath was decorated beautifully and the shower was perfect. Our hosts really cared about our comfort.
