“Ponte Sisto well worth it”
A pretty hotel with a large room compared to most hoels in Europe Nig bathroom.l The front desk was very accomationg and helpfu. Our room was ready early in the morning. The hotel is in a very good location. Easy to walk to many of the points of interest in Rome Breakfast was included which is always a plus. I would definitiely stay there again.
“great hotel in old Rome, really good experience”
We're well travelled and post a reasonable number of reviews on here, and Ponte Sisto goes pretty close to top of the list at one leap. I would unhesitantly recommend this hotel. We visited for 6 days at Easter (a crazy time in Rome!) and it was the perfect retreat after each enjoyable day out there in the city (don't be put off by its presence in a narrow street with a touch of graffiti, a lot of old Rome is like this and the area is safe as houses.) Rooms and public spaces were immaculately maintained, only a slightly small bedroom being the drawback (but oh, the all-marble bathroom!); service was generally very very good - breakfast was the best we've had in many a hotel, with loads of choice - and the thick walls of this old building and capacious, perfect beds meant undisturbed sleeps. The location issue in Rome is tricky as it depends *what* you want to be close to but for us this is close to perfect: 3 mins from Campo de Fiori, another 3 onwards from there to Piazza Navona or 7 more to the Pantheon. Ponte Sisto is the main bridge across to the chic borough of Trastavere, the hotel is 50m from the bridge itself; Vatican City is a beautiful quiet walk along the river of under half an hour and in the opposite direction you can pass the Campodoglio and Forum and reach the Colosseum is about the same time.
“Definitely a Keeper”
This hotel is tops in almost all respects. But, contrary to the hotel's in-room information, the Ponte Sisto's dining room is actually open only for breakfast, unless you are attending a meeting or special event (i.e., not for dinner for ordinary guests). When, around dinner time, my wife asked at the front desk where the hotel restaurant was, she was told, "We don't have a restaurant." No .information was offered by the front desk on any of the several good restaurants in the neighborhood. Apart from this lapse, we loved the hotel.
“Great place to stay in Rome and feel part of the local area”
Great place to stay and use as base to tour Rome. Easy walking to everything, great access to local area restaurants. Amenities and breakfast were perfect.Would stay there again and again.
“Great Place to Stay in Rome”
This is a very nice hotel, with clean rooms, although they are a little on the small side. It has a lovely garden area and the breakfasts were excellent.
“Great hotel”
We had just completed a cruise and were staying only 2 nights but location was important due to site seeing. Clean comfortable rooms, large, bright marble bathroom. They provided our two requests: twin beds and a quiet room (304). The view from our window into the inner courtyard below was suitable for framing, and we enjoyed a glass of wine there one evening. The buffet breakfast included friut and juice, cerals and milk, scrambled eggs and bacon, coffee or tea, along with three helpful attendants. The front desk staff answered all our questions, and arranged for a private driver to take us for an early drive to the airport.
“Great location, good value,”
Hard to go wrong when you're in Rome, but this hotel not only had a great location (right across a foot bridge from Trastevere with great resteraunts and near Piazza Novona within easy walking of most sites) but was also a wonderful hotel with great service. I have to admit that I thought twice given what people said about the noise, but I brought ear plugs and, therefore, didn't have a problem. Not sure if I would have been as happy without them, but I'm thinking I would have loved this place either way. I spent twice as much for another great hotel right next to Piazza Novona, but this one was a better value. Although I prefer to eat breakfast out in the city, the two times (we were there a week) that I ate breakfast in the hotel was better than I expected. Glad I didn't go until half-way through trip, or I probably would have eaten in hotel every day (again, I prefer to eat outside in a Piazza).
“Very Impressed - would go back in a heartbeat!”
Hotel was in a good location - we were able to walk to Vatican City, ancient Rome sites, Piazza Navona, Parthenon, etc. We had a very large room with a great big tub (very nice!). Our room also had a large balcomy overlooking the street below (balcony had table & chairs). The breakfast in the lovely courtyard was great and the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
“AT the centre of the action”
This hotel was ideal for us. It was in the heart of Rome. All major attractions within easy walking distance. Initial impression of the surrounding neighbourhood was a little disappointing but we realised the benefits once we had started to explore the area. Inside the hotel was exceptionally good. Drinks from bar very expensive!
“Ponte Sisto, Rome”
Good hotel in a great location.

Navona - Pantheon, Rome, Italy: In the heart of the historic centre, Piazza Navona is Romes most famous square. Like a giant stage set, this is where the theatre of daily Roman life is re-enacted among the café tables that spill out onto the fountain-splashed piazza. Berninis baroque extravaganza, the Fontana dei Quattro Fiume, is the most celebrated of the three fountains. Nearby is the Pantheon one of Romes great symbols and a marvel of ancient architecture.
