“Highly recommended. Look no further for Rome accommodation.”
This hotel I would highly recommend. It is a warm friendly hotel with well appointed clean rooms that is ideally situated for Rome sightseeing trips. 5 minute walk to Rome Termini station and 5 minute walk to both lines of the Metro. Breakfast buffet is superb. The hotel will provide packed breakfasts if you require. I took the 6.15am train to Pisa for the day and they provided a more than adequate packed breakfast at no additional charge. Satellite TV with massive programme selection available. Most programmes are dubbed into Italian but you can change the language back to English through the 'i' button on the remote control. My room had both bath and shower for those with a preference. If you are like I was and are concerned about booking into a good hotel then stop worrying now and look no further. This hotel ticks all the boxes.
“Would definately go back”
Clean comforfable modern rooms, good breakfast, good location close to metro and train station and only 15 minutes walk to Colleseum. Staff were polite and spoke good english. Overall good value for money hotel and would definately recommend.
“Close to all transportation, clean and quiet !”
This place is great ! Nice breakfast to start the day, very quiet, and close to Termini ! This is very convenient for metro, buses, train to airport(FCO) and for traveling to other cities in Italy or other parts of Europe. We had 4 people (2 kids, age 19 and 12), it was really a wonderful place. We would stay again.
“Hotel Genova a Good Stay”
We picked this hotel as it was close to The Termini and we were arriving in Rome by train. The hotel is a short 5 minute walk from the front of the train station and and the Metro and easy to walk with luggage in tow. The hotel is close to all of the major tourist attractions in the central part of the city and some shopping on Via Cavour and Via Nazionale. The room was small by North American standards but typical of urban European hotels, and comfortable. The shower was a bit small but in good working order and not a problem as we are not huge people. Our room faced onto Via Cavour and the street traffic was quite noisy when we opened the window, but was quiet once the thermal pane windows were closed. The buffet breakfast was fresh and filling. The staff were accommodating in letting us use the hotel's computer for a small charge. They were good in recommending restaurants or bus routes. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel or using it again.
“Hotel Genova exceeded expectations”
Everything about this hotel exceeded expectations with one exception: The hotel has air conditioning but in Mid-March when we visited it had not been turned on. Therefore the room was a bit stuffy at night with the windows closed which was necessary to keep out the street noise. However, with the windows and shutters closed, the room was very quiet and dark The complimentary breakfast was just about the best we have experienced anywhere including hotel chains such as Drury and the hotel public areas and rooms were spotless. It was also short walk from Termini, the subway, and many very nice and affordable restauants.
“Hotel très bien situé et confortable pour visiter ROME”
Les chambres sont spacieuses. Bon petit déjeuner et très bon accueil.
“Rome Trip”
Great sites, great food, but beware of the locals they come off as a bit abrasive.
“Perfect Hotel for a Rome Stay”
The hotel was extremely clean. Most of the staff spoke English. The location is ideal, a couple of blocks from the train station, the tour buses, and several tour companies. The hotel is surrounded by excellent restaurants and small businesses. Everything about the hotel and location was absolutely perfect. Room for 4 was large and each person had an individual and comfortable bed. Bathroom was large and very clean. Hotel restaurant offered room service at very reasonable prices.
“Would stay here again”
Good location, clean, comfortable, helpful staff, good value for money. "Superior room" was a bit small but no smaller than some of the other hotels in the area. In summary, would have no hesitation in staying here again.
“perfect place to stay”
This hotel was in a great location: - a comfortable walk to most of the main attractions (anywhere between 5 minutes and half an hour). E.g. the Colosseum took about 8 minutes to get to. - Termini Station is a minute's walk away which is handy if you want to travel further. The only time we used this was when we visited the Vatican City. That would have been about an hour's walk otherwise, which would have been fine if the weather had been better. - There were lots of great places to eat wiithin a minute's walk; lots of restaurants, cafes and ice-cream parlours. - There were a good number of clothes shops nearby (about a five minute walk away) which was great for me. The hotel itself met our needs really well: - The staff were polite and helpful - The rooms were a really good standard - comfortable and very clean. The only thing missing was tea and coffee making facilities in our room - I like a cuppa first thing in the morning so that's my only gripe! - The breakfast was fine for what we needed - the basics like cereals, toast, croissants, fruit, etc, were provided. I threw a coin into the Trevi Fountain which apparently means I'll go back to Rome - when I do return I'll definitely stay at this hotel!
